Description
Zealot Crit-fishing build using the Catachan MKIV as an all-rounder melee weapon and Agrippina MKVII Braced Autogun with Stripped Down for navigating hordes of shooters. The way I play this build is largely around charging at things and hitting them hard with Heavy attacks.
Not tested on Damnation yet.
Horde clear combo:
Light1 -> Heavy2 -> Repeat
- Open up against hordes with Heavy2 to hit as many things as possible.
- Generally shouldn't bother full-charging the Heavy2 since it's better to just let it rip early so you can fish for crits.
- Dodge every now and then between attacks.
- Use Fury of the Faithful for a guaranteed crit which will apply bleed on everything you hit, which in turn increases your crit chance on followup attacks.
- Every individual enemy you hit with a crit triggers Invocation of Death to massively reduce the cooldown of Fury of the Faithful allowing you to repeat the cycle.
- With big enough hordes, you can use Chastise every other cycle of your combo. Sometimes faster.
- If you need to retreat cause your teammates are moving on without you, switch to the autogun and magdump.
Gameplan for Elites/Specials:
Gunners
- Charge at them and hold Heavy1 to one-shot
Shotgunners
- Charge at them and hold Heavy1 to one-shot
Mutants
- Charge at them and hold Heavy1 to one-shot
Trappers
- Dodge then run at them and hold Heavy1 to one-shot
Dogs
- Dodge then run at them and hold Heavy1 to one-shot
Ragers
- With big packs of Ragers, the crit on Heavy2 is enough to stagger them and give you breathing room to go Heavy1 -> Heavy2 again
- Riposte is extremely good at killing them fast.
Maulers/Crushers
- Swap to Autogun and magdump. Once you're out of ammo, Charge in and keep swinging with Heavies.
- Consecutive Heavy1 or Heavy2 crits to the face are enough to stagger Crushers such that it interrupts their attacks.
- Dodge side-to-side ALWAYS. Especially with Crusher/Mauler packs. If you dodge backwards, they will still track you and walk forward while they're charging their down swing.
Plague Ogryns:
- Riposte means you can clear this boss without taking literally any damage.
- Either Heavy or Light spam works but Light spamming is safer since Heavy2 has ending lag that prevents you from immediately riposte-ing.
- Save your Chastise for a charged Heavy1 for big damage.
- The stomp is riposte-able.
- Spam Heavy combo to the face.
Chaos Spawn:
- Riposte.
- Dodge back when you see the windup for the grab attack.
Beast of Nurgle:
- Swap to Autogun, Charge past them with Fury of the Faithful and mag dump into their back.
