This build shines when the team is being mobbed by tons of Elites and Specialists, which serve as killing fuel via Scavenger (ammo on kill), Demolition Team (small chance for grenade on kill), Tactical Awareness (ability cooldown on kill), and to a lesser degree Born Leader and Confirmed Kill. You'll be able to kill most high priority targets with one or two well-placed revolver shots, even through hordes, and your ample supply of enhanced Krak Grenades lets you take out high-mass enemies like Maulers, Crushers, and Bulwarks without much effort.

Some people don't like Competitive Urge because it's not a guaranteed buff, but a 20% boost to damage, impact, and suppression across the entire team, with no coherency requirement and no cooldown, makes a noticeable difference during swarms.

Born Leader might seem insignificant in a vacuum, but it amplifies any substantial toughness replenishment effect granted by allies. The high stagger of Voice of Command can give you the space you need to revive an ally with Leave No One Behind and the extra revive speed from your curios.

As for the chain sword, it's just great for whipping out when you need to clear a bunch of chaff, or when your revolver is empty and someone gets grabbed.
