My usual commissar/support-based veteran build

 

Cadia Mk IV Assault Chainsword

Without much question, the best melee weapon for a veteran right now.

 

Accatran MG Mk II Heavy Laspistol

High mobility is a great way to stay ahead and even a great choice in CQB, with the possibility of dodges and high accuracy. High base crit works well with "Shock Trooper" and Infernus for even more DMG.


 

Krak Grenades

Great way to get rid of Ogryns or deal a lot of boss damage.


 

Survivalist

Support your team and yourself with extra ammunition.

 

Voice of Command

Logical choice for a support build, give yourself and your allies a shield in harsh moments and stun mutants or even bosses with the knock back.


Shock Trooper

Based on the high critical chance the Laspistol - can be switched with "Leave No One Behind" for even more support or get rid of "Only in Death Does Duty End".

 

Only In Death Does Duty End

My personal favorite as a skill, the ability to clutch so many moments using your ability to pick up teammates that are surrounded by enemies or even help multiple allies at once.
