This build is my current favorite to play. Fast, deadly, and fragile: the quintessential glass cannon. Mainly a precision striker but still able to clear out hordes fairly well.
The main use of Assail is as a backup for when you don't have time to reload the revolver and it also lets you kill weak targets marked by Disrupt Destiny that you would otherwise have to waste shots on. It also allows you to quickly generate a bit of peril to regain some toughness and/or give a damage boost. Try and keep yourself at a decent peril level as often as you can to take advantage of the damage boost from Warp Rider.
The dueling sword is incredibly deadly. The heavy attack will one-shot many enemies especially once you are "spun up" (decent amount of Disrupt Destiny stacks, a bit of peril). The recent patch also made the special attack much smoother to weave into attack chains, which opens up your ability to bully any non-boss enemy for the low low price of a special attack headshot. This will stop Ragers, Crushers, and even Muties in their tracks.
Or you can just blast those Ragers and Crushers from a distance with the revolver. With just a few stacks of Disrupt Destiny it is very easy to start two-shotting Crushers, and everything else is brought down even faster. If you have the scoreboard mod I recommend downloading the extensions for it just so you can see how many enemies this build will one-shot.
Your biggest weakness is going to be groups of heavy armor as you are lacking CC. Keep your distance and use your speed and extra dodge distance to stay out of reach as you whittle down their numbers with the revolver. You can pretty easily juggle stagger 2 or sometimes 3 elite enemies at a time with your sword but any more than that should be dealt with using your gun.
Use Scrier's Gaze to burst down troublesome units quickly. Shoot first, and once you've taken your revolver shots don't bother reloading after unless you're ok with Scrier's timing out. Instead, use your increased speed to sprint and slide into melee and deal absurd damage with headshots.
You could totally swap Mind in Motion for Malefic Momentum but being able to quell and keep up with your team allows you to have Scrier's Gaze up longer and in more combats in my experience.
