Hitting at least 3 enemies with an attack, increases your cleave by 140-200% for 2 seconds.
Hitting at least 3 enemies with an attack, increases your damage by 24-36% for 3 seconds.
Critical hit chance scales by your current heat level up to 27.5-50%. Also increases critical ranged attacks damage by 4-10%.
5-8% Strength for every shot fired during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
Grenadier style support build, focused on grabbing almost all grenade talents. Blast and claw through the hordes, snipe the elites/specialists before they get close. Grenade can be either Frag or Krak, depending on preference. Krak is great for Crusher/Rager patrols and Bosses, while frag grenades are better for crowd contol.
Objective
Your job on the battlefield is to utilise your grenades to ensure that hordes don't overwhelm your allies, and to tag and eliminate any key Elite or Specialist units closing in on your team.
The most important thing is to be more liberal with your grenade usage than with other Veteran builds, as in the worst case, any grenade expended will be regenerated in 60 seconds, less if you get lucky with Demolition Team. If at max capacity (4), look for opportunities to pro-actively throw one.
Weaponry
For weaponry, a melee weapon with good cleave and a hard hitting ranged weapon, to snipe Elites/Specialists, are recommended. Plasma gun has good single-target damage without needing any talent point investment and the Devil Claw sword is great to hold your own when you're in the midst of a horde.
Talents
Agile Engagement is great as you'll be swapping between weapons frequently, especially if using a Plasma gun.
Field Improvisation affects allies as well and does not require the Veteran to deploy the ammo crate to apply the upgrade, they just need to be alive when it is deployed. As such, it's great talent to assist your allies.
Voice of Command is picked for that juicy bonus Toughness, great for keeping you and allies in coherency up. Pop it when you notice an ally has lost their Toughness, or if things are about to get spicy (Crusher patrol for example).
Focus Target is nice to amp up the damage against Elites and Bosses, but isn't really needed. From the middle tree, only Tactical Awareness, Iron Will and Demolition Team are key, so the last few points can be reallocated elsewhere, if you want to get more ranged/melee damage, pick up some defensive talents (such as Leave No One Behind) or switch to the Survivalist aura
