This build specialises in survivability and maximum carry factor.    

 

The melee weapon

The Power Maul is supposed to be used with the special action inside a horde.    

The horde can't hurt you if they are laying on the ground licking your boots.    

 

The Power Maul is a stagger machine that gets exponentially better in doing just that the more attack speed you have.

 

This is why this build is providing: 

  • +10% attack speed after emptying your Bolter from The Emperor's Bullet,
  • +10% attack speed from Faithful Frenzy,
  • UpTo +20% attack speed from Inexorable Judgement.    

 

The Power Maul has an insane amount of stagger from it's special action, which by itself can stagger a Crusher reliably.    

This is why this build is providing:    

  • +40% Impact from Thunderstrike, 
  • +25 (1 stack) to +125% (5 stacks) Impact from Hammer Blow,
  • +30% Impact from Hammer of Faith, 
  • +50% stagger on enemy weak spot hit from Grevous wounds.

 

What about damage? Well, the Power Maul has good damage on it's special action but has somewhat lacklustre damage on it's light attack swings.  But it has a fast attack speed and great cleave limit.    

To compensate for the lack of damage this build is providing:

  • +25% damage vs Carapace to make sure Crushers don't have too much of a good time,
  • +25% damage vs Maniacs to make sure you can kill Ragers a bit faster when it counts,
  • +5% (1 stack) to +25% (5 stacks) damage on repeated hit from Distain,
  • +20% damage vs Infested from Purge the Unclean to make horde clearing time shorter,
  • 2x +5% melee damage from skill-tree operator modifiers,
  • +4% (1 stack) to +16% (5 stacks) damage from Sustained Assault,
  • And UpTo +20% damage from Inexorable Judgement.

 

And lastly but not least!

To top that off this build provides enemy melee stagger immunity from the Thy Wrath will be Swift.

That way your purge will not go interrupted easily.

 

The Ranged weapon

The Bolter is supposed to be used only if you face one too many Crushers or a party of mixed Ogryns.    
It can't be used too much because the Zealot can't bring +25% more ammo like the Ogryn or the Veteran.    

 

In short, the Bolter is not the focal point of this build.
It is included in this build to speed up clearing time vs Crusher and/or mixed Ogryn encounters.

This entire build is tailored towards using melee with the Power Maul.

 

Survivability

You WILL survive almost anything because this build is providing so many tools to make sure of that, that you have very few excuses to be downed unless you're caught in the trappers net or pinned by a dog.

 

This build provides everything you'd want except for maximum toughness damage reduction.    

 

  • Heal 25% of the taken damage over 5s from Restoring Faith.
  • Heal X amount of Health depending on how much damage you inflict during Until Death from Holy Revenant.
  • +25% damage reduction on successful dodge from Good Balance.
  • You always have toughness regeneration from coherency from Loner.
  • 3x +30% toughness regeneration from Curios.
  • 2x +20% damage reduction vs Tox Flamers from Curios.
  • 2x +20% damage reduction vs Renegade Grenadiers (Bombers) from Curios.
  • +20% damage reduction vs Gunners from one Curio.
  • 2x +21% Health from Curios.
  • +17% Toughness from Curios.
  • +12% Stamina regeneration from Curios.
