One misclick and you're dead!

Use Assail to upkeep Disrupt Destiny, build up Scrier's Gaze (and to end it easily and safely) and to snipe any annoyances or just for general horde clearing
Melee i guess it's up to you, i like Illisi so i use that

Scrier's Gaze to crit stack with the surge staff, boost Assail, etc.

 

Main stats for the staff would be damage, crit bonus and charge rate u can get away with loosing a bit of quell speed and warp res if you're good

 

idk if there's better perk choices but my reasoning is: stack blocking if you like to block with the Deflect melee blessing and to help with the Kinetic Deflection talent (otherwise just swap those out with whatever),flak cus why not and crit chance for more crit
