See you Space Cowboy....

(Thanks to Razgriz for their incredible descriptions! Really opened my eyes to how to play the game, and since then I've really leveled up my skills.)

-----------------------------------

Concept

It's simple really, swing your sword and shoot your gun without ever needing to pause to reload. Your best friend is movement and stealth will get you out of sticky situations.

Damn you're ugly

The revolver is a strong weapon with a big weakness, that being it's reload. But what if you never need to reload and bullets magically appear in your gun when you REALLY need them? Well that's what this build is for! Always prepared is pretty terrible in my humble opinion for a majority of the weapons, it only provides 3.3% of your 'mag' per stack and that really doesn't help much if you're not constantly getting max stacks. However, the neat part about the revolver is that even if you have just one stack, it will give you a bullet. So that 3.3% essentially turns into 20%! Pair this with the fact that the revolver has a really fast swap speed, and you can basically melee an enemy, swap, and repeat five times and you'll be at a full 'mag' without having ever reloaded. If the revolver isn't your thing, I can only really suggest the combat shotgun for a similar benefit but with it's slower draw speed, I didn't find it as pleasant. Otherwise the autopistol is a pretty solid choice, however you won't be seeing much value from "Always Prepared", and you're better off sticking that skill point into "Field Improvisation".

Cadians are Weak!

Catachan Devil Claws have easily become my new favorite melee weapons for Vet and Zealot, not only can they preform well at horde clearing once ramped up, but they also provide decent mobility and crit power. But the real sauce of this weapon is the special, the parry. I don't think there is anything more satisfying to me than to walk into a group of five ragers and spamming parry, and watching them all die. The Mk IV is my favorite because it's first heavy attack is a strikedown, making it quite good at smacking elites and specials for a good chunk of damage, especially after leaving stealth. However you should use whatever version you prefer due to the different move sets. If the Devil Claws aren't your thing, you should use the Combat Blade with Uncanny Strike and Mercy Killer, since "Serrated Blade" works well with the Combat Blade. I personally wouldn't compromise with the other melee choices since mobility is core to the build and weapons like the chainsword or powerswords dampen your dodge distance too much.

A wise man once said "Press the F key".

Your biggest friend for when things start turning south is Infiltrate, which provides 18 seconds of delightful pressure relief that you can use to nuke a boss or rescue an ally that went down to unfortunate circumstances (ortheirownblunders). Like Razgriz mentions in their build, using stealth to get yourself out of a sticky situation is preferable over using the skill for damage. HOWEVER, there is an exception for me because of a fun interaction with Krak Grenades, that 30% damage boost? Yeah, that applies to Krak Grenades too. Combine that with the 50% boost from "Grenade Tinkerer" and you can stealth, then lob a couple of grenades at a Monstrosity and watch it's health bar evaporate.

Curios. I don't have anything else to say.

I simply went with two max health Curios and a Wounds to provide myself some wiggle room that Vet doesn't have like Zealot does. Max health and toughness perks help increase your survivability more, but I'm not entirely sold on toughness regeneration just yet, and may swap it out for Gunner resistance due to how badly gunners can stunlock this build if you get caught in a nasty spot without time to shoot back. Otherwise, you do you, boo.

------------------------------------------

I can't honestly say if this build is meta or even good. But to me, it is at the very least fun and I tried hard enough to not compromise too much viability for the fun factor. I tried out braced autos, headhunter variations, and some Recon Lazguns to see if any of it felt good but nothing honestly felt as satisfying as the revolver. What I think this build is lacking is ultimately just a small buff to make "Weapon Specialist" feel more potent. Regardless, if you enjoy the build, that makes me happy!
