SUMMARY
This build is, in my opinion, completely necessary to play on the highest difficulty. The shield is essential and will give you the necessary protection to resist ranged attacks while you immobilize all enemies with Smite and cause them great damage thanks to Empowered Smite, allowing your teammates to finish them off. You'll have great power to kill elites from a distance with the staff's charged attack and can switch to the sword when your warp percentage is full, to block ranged shots or finish off nearby enemies. With a charged sword attack, you can kill even a Muty.

 

HOW TO PLAY
Basically, attack from range by charging your staff attack and cool down your % as soon as you can. As soon as a horde or group of elite enemies approaches, keep them entertained with your Smite, letting your danger level rise to a maximum of 95%. Quickly reload while enemies recover (up to 20 - 25%) and if they haven't died yet, repeat the process until they die. You need to stay close to a companion who will support and protect you, such as a Zealot or an Ogryn. Every time your party is shot, put up your shield and focus your ranged attacks on the enemies shooting at you so your shield can hold up longer. Remember that you recover Toughness faster inside it.

 

ALTERNATIVE WEAPONS
You can use an Equinox IV staff if you prefer that type of attack, although Nomanus is better for taking out elites. If you choose the Equinox IV, chose Warp Nexus and Surge.
You can use a Maccabian Mk IV dueling sword if you prefer a weapon that gives you great speed to finish off the hordes that have surpassed your Smite. Unfortunately, you cannot reduce your danger meter while using it.

 

CURIOS
Toughness is your best friend and you can recover it very quickly so try to improve it as much as possible. An additional wound can help you a lot especially if your party is not very well coordinated and will give you more resistance to corruption in the long term, but you can trade it for another 17% more Toughness if you feel confident with only 2 wounds.

RESUMEN
Esta construcción es, en mi opinión, completamente necesaria para jugar en la mayor dificultad. El escudo es imprescindible y os dará la protección necesaria para resistir los ataques a distancia mientras inmovilizas a todos los enemigos con Smite y les causas un gran daño gracias a Empowered Smite, permitiendo que tus compañeros los rematen. Tendrás un gran poder para matar élites a distancia con el ataque cargado del bastón y podrás cambiar a la espada cuando tu porcentaje de disformidad esté lleno, para bloquear los disparos a distancia o acabar con los enemigos cercanos. Con un ataque cargado de la espada, puedes matar incluso a un Muty.

 

COMO JUGAR
Básicamente, ataca a distancia cargando tu ataque con el bastón y enfría tu % tan pronto como puedas. En cuanto una horda o un grupo de enemigos de élite se acerque, mantenlos entretenidos con tu Smite, dejando que tu nivel de peligro suba hasta un máximo de 95%. Recarga rápidamente mientras los enemigos se recuperan (hasta un 20 - 25%) y si no han muerto aún, repite el proceso hasta que mueran. Necesitas permanecer cerca de algún compañero que te apoye y te proteja, como un Zealot o un Ogryn. Cada vez que tu grupo reciba disparos, pon tu escudo y concentra tus ataques a distancia en los enemigos que os disparan para que tu escudo aguante más. Recuerda que recuperais Toughness más rápido en el interior de éste.

 

ARMAS ALTERNATIVAS
Puedes utilizar un bastón Equinox IV si prefieres ese tipo de ataque, aunque el Nomanus es mejor para acabar con los élites. En caso de elegir el Equinox IV, usa Warp Nexus y Surge.
Puedes utilizar una Maccabian Mk IV dueling sword si prefieres un arma que te de una gran velocidad para acabar con las hordas que hayan superado tu Smite. Por desgracia, no puedes reducir tu medidor de peligro mientras la usas.

 

CURIOS
Toughness es tu mejor amiga y puedes recuperarla muy rápidamente así que intenta mejorarla al máximo. Una herida adicional puede ayudarte mucho especialmente si tu grupo no está muy bien coordinado y te dará más resistencia a la corrupción a largo plazo, pero puedes cambiarlo por otro 17% más de Toughness si te sientes seguro con solo 2 heridas.
