This all rounder build is centred around the new mk XII chain axe. The new axe seems to be somewhat under the radar atm but some do seem to be catching onto its potential. So why use this thing...?

  1. It is a literal delete button on a stick, one shotting Crushers, Maulers, Ragers the lot (without fury of the faithful!). And if you so much as look at a Mutie with this in hand they will just drop dead.
  2. It resolves the two main issues of the original chainaxe, it does not catch on enemy hordes and it has a strikedown heavy that makes picking out those poor poor Maulers in a crowd so much easier.
  3. The shove attack is Chef's Kiss.

Weapons:

The Chainaxe (obvs):

The Chainaxe as previously stated is a delete button on a stick, there are however some blessings we can apply to make it much more convenient and consistent.  Our first blesing Thrust allows easy one shots of crushers without the need for fury of the faithful as well as more damage against bosses etc. Now Bloodletter is our second blessing and thanks to the recent change that allows you to dodge escape out of your special saw attacks, it is for lack of a better term... cracked. You can rev this thing up, light attack a Rager/ Mauler etc and simply dodge away if you need to or if you want to change your target and still apply all your bleed stacks. This is especially helpful in groups of Ragers/ Maulers etc as you can jump from one to another quickly dispatching of them/ evading them.

Now some may prefer to add a perk like Slaughterer or Headtaker for more general convenience in hordes, I however find that this weapon performs just fine in hordes, its not the most efficient horde clearer but its rather good, especially considering it does NOT catch on enemies in hordes. At the end of the day we are using this for its single target damage as its just too good to turn your nose up at.

The Flamer:

Aside from the Chainaxe the rest of the loadout can be played with your preferred weapons, I have picked the flamer as it gives this build an efficient "I win" button against hordes when the axe just isn't gonna do it fast enough.

Curios:

Mostly preference based, I would personally recommend health (I'm considering toughness) and gunner resist along with some toughness regen.

Talent Tree:

The talents chosen are meant to both enhance and add convenience to our Chainaxe usage (not that it needs it tbh its a beast). We are taking Blades of Faith as it adds the final piece of the puzzle which is the ability to engage with ranged targets, plus they are regenerated on elite and special kill which spoiler alert... you will be doing a lot of with this thing. Loner adds some nice convenience and makes is so we are more comfy in certain situations. Fury of the faithful is mostly taken for the movement, toughness regen and attack speed as the attack bonus is not necessary to one shot crushers, it does however make it a lot easier as you need not hold your heavy attack. Inexorable Judgement simply enhances our Chainaxe's performance and makes it feel all that much better and really round it out.

Some noteworthy talents are Scourge (allows for more crit on enemies we make bleed with special attack) and Thy Wrath be Swift (allows for our heavy attacks to not be interrupted)

Overall I've had a blast with this build and the mk XII Chainaxe and I would certainly suggest that people give it a go. Thanks for reading!
