INTRO:

A few clarifications before we start.

• I initially made this build using Lucky Bullet. However, Lucky Bullet:
  • will proc approximately 3 times per 40 shots (8%) which doesn't do much for Kickback
  • those 3 procs will be crits but you have Surgical for that and kickback doesn't benefit much from crit (check the weapon's damage profile)
  • The 200% CDR for 2 seconds is nice, it means -6s on your cooldown per proc. When you scale it to your entire ammo pool that's approximately -18s for emptying all your ammo. Just not sure it's worth it.
  • I will review Lucky Bullet for Kickback Gunlugger if they change Lucky Bullet mechanics
• In exchange I went for Feel No Pain for the extra survivability (damage reduction + toughness regen)
• I didn't go for Heavy Hitter simply because you will rarely do heavies with your melee weapon and even when you do it won't be enough to stack heavy hitter or maintain the buff for a long time

TIPS:

• Point-Blank Barrage
  • Remember using your combat ability reloads your weapon
  • Always shoot something first before popping your combat ability
  • Essentially you will be able to instantly shoot it twice
• Grenade
  
  • Always prefer to throw it near you using the right click button (alternative fire mode)
  • Grenade will not kill Crushers
  • Grenade will not kill Maulers
  • Avoid to use against Bosses unless you are about to die
  • If you see 5+ Bulwarks use it
  • If you see 8+ elites/specials use it
  • Don't use for 5 or less elites
• Kickback Penetration
  • Kickback pellets can penetrate through targets
  • Always try to shoot elites in a line if possible
  • You can shoot through your team-mates to kill an elite/special that's in front of them (shot not blocked)

SYNERGIES:

• Clearing Mixed Hordes and Groups of Elites
  • Reloaded and Ready (+12% damage after reload)
    -- Kickback loads one bullet at a time, which means all your shots receive this buff
  • Peacemaker (+25% reload speed after hitting 5 enemies)
    -- Kickback shoots 12 pellets which means you can kill more than 5 enemies at a time
  • Point-Blank Barrage (Increases reload speed by 70%)
    -- Combined with the above you can shoot at mixed hordes extremely fast. No need to "scope" single entities.
  • Blaze-Away (up to 40% damage for continuously firing your weapon)
    -- Shoot at targets without zooming-in when Point-Blank Barrage and Peacemaker are up to stack Blaze-Away very fast and delete entire rooms of elites and hordes
• Combat Ability Cooldown Reduction
  • Bruiser (5% cooldown reduction on Elite kill)
    -- 4s cooldown reduction per elite kill
  • Curios 12% cooldown reduction
    -- 10s cooldown reduction by default

ALTERNATIVE TALENTS:

• For Point-Blank Barrage choose between:
  • Light'em Up as ability modifier (+burn per hit)
    - Better for Bosses & large groups of enemies
  • Hail of Fire (+30% rending)
    - Better for Carapace
