5-8 Bleed Stacks on Critical Hit.
12-24% Rending on Enemy Weak Spot Hit for 3.5s. Stacks 5 times.
5-8% Strength for every shot fired during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
Critical hit chance scales by your current heat level up to 27.5-50%. Also increases critical ranged attacks damage by 4-10%.
Plasma Gun Overview:
The plasma gun should have 80% stopping power and 80% damage
blaze away and gets hot - helps a bit with cleave breakpoints (when your plasma goes through multiple enemies) when killing groups of shotgunners and gunners. Also with boss damage. Unarmored and flak to help hit breakpoints.
1 shot body shot bomber and trapper sniper (anywhere) shotgunners (anywhere)
2 shot flamers and gunners to the head (with long shot it's one shot at 8 meters to the head)
2 shot body shot ragers and dogs (headshots change nothing)
2 shot headshot reapers (otherwise 1 shot headshot 2 bodyshots) or oneshot headshot charged shot.
4 shot bulwarks frontally if you hit the shield, otherwise 3/2 shots on unarmored parts
shield hit + headshot + bodyshot will kill them.
3 shot headshot maulers OR 3 shot bodyshot maulers.
4 shot mutants. (3 shot with longshot active at 8 meters)
5 shot crushers to body or 3 shots with two headshots + bodyshot
1 charged headshot + 1 charged bodyshot will kill anything in the game as well
OR 1 charged headshot + 1 uncharged headshot.
Talents Explanation:
Longshot helps you 1 hit kill flamers to the head when they're standing more than 10 meters away.
Shredder nades to stagger bosses or packs of crushers.
Get Back In The Fight - cool emergency perk and better than Catch Your Breath in my opinion
Field Improv - an amazing perk that helps you cleanse corruption and you get more shredder nades from ammo boxes
Precision Strikes, Superiority Complex, Bring It Down - break point talents :)
Fully Loaded - nice ammo perk
For the Emperor - helps your teammates
Tactical Awareness - get rewarded for doing your job, amazing cooldown reduction for killing specials which you're supposed to do to stop team wipes.
Other perks are defensive or for melee, ideally, you should be treating the plasma as a high magazine revolver and using it to kill elites/specials while mopping up with your knife. You can kill crushers and maulers with your knife as well.
Curios - Help your survivability put whatever here, recommend health as it protects against poxbursters in case your shout isn't up and toughness curios won't help against poxbursters or snipers. Also, a stamina curio is amazing in melee for more pushing and blocking and well help you survive longer.
3x Combat ability regeneration - this is very important for reducing your shout cooldown and shouting a lot :) by default your shout lasts for a very long time and starts cooling down as soon as you shout so with this and Tactical Awareness you will always be shouting.
2x Health - I just want more health you can replace with stamina or other things.
Sniper resistance - helps you take 2 shots before dying rather than 1 when you have 200+ health.
Gunner resistance - you can replace this if you want.
Stamina regeneration / blocking efficiency - helps with veteran's low stamina and high stamina regeneration delay timer.
Knife: You get 8 stacks of bleed every time you crit (which is a lot with riposte), try to max out finesse, mobility, and penetration while leaving damage and first target damage at around 70%.
"Lacerate is a trap option. The knife is a finesse weapon. Inspect the weapon and hover over finesse. By default that's pressing v when you have item selected in your inventory. You do around 2.25 times damage hitting a weakspot. And Lacerate helps when you don't hit weakspots. And your other Blessings are about hitting weakspots. That's really confusing. It's easier to just know that you need to hit weakspots and go for that."
"Flesh Tearer gives you a high number of bleed stacks on a crit. The knife crits a lot so that's lots of bleed stacks. The more bleed stacks the more damage bleed does. Bleed is going to be good on things that take a while to die, or stuff that will just die from the bleed sooner than later. For a Vet Flesh Tearer makes the horde clear easier, it's not a catachan sword level of clear but it brings it up to an acceptable pace. You just crit the mobs and the bleed will do the job. It's a very easy and lazy way of dealing with the problem while staying pretty mobile. You just swipe swipe dodge, swipe swipe dodge because of course, you are taking Reciprocity to push the crit rate higher. The Vet is probably then taking Riposte to further up the crit rate. This is also helping him deal single target damage to bombers, flamers etc. He's one shotting them. He's pretty mobile and he has a weapon for all occasions."
Uncanny Strike helps with crushers a lot of carapace also you can keep up Uncanny Strike for a very long time as it doesn't reset on non weakspot hits like executor. Or you can use Riposte.
