1-2 Extra Chained Energised Hits and 2.5-10% Impact on Energised Hits.
Hitting at least 3 enemies with an attack, increases your damage by 24-36% for 3 seconds.
5-6.5% Strength for 3.5s on Close Range Kill.
Gain 7-10% Close Damage for 3.5 seconds after killing an enemy at close range, stacking 5 times.
Agrip Brauto 80 Damage 80 Stopping power 80 Stability you can point gun and instantly halt almost anything with pure stagger, even a wall of maulers, if you don't kill them outright. I just won 3 maelstroms in a row with top numbers so I'm ready to say this is the build I'm using the rest of this patchyou're a reaper now your bullets ram enemies backwards with sheer bullet force
fire gun as much as possible at enemy heads, even better if they're stacked densely because Agrip has piercing shots, but even at far-range you can slow your salvo to 1 shot every half second to maintain stagger pressure and maximize the remaining 12 bullets left in your clip to pull off some truly baffling kills vs elites/specials/gunnersIf you see a reaper just fire at it's head 4 times and he will just lie down and wait to dieif you see 10 reapers fire at all of their heads and throw two krak grenadesI used to laud the sheer utility of 6 shredder grenades, and I do truly miss them, but they pale in comparison to 4 krak grenades. You can throw two krak genades at most bad things (a mutant and a crusher, 4 crushers, 20 reapers and 20 elite gunners) and then open fire with your gun and most things will run away or die. You can throw 4 krak grenades at a lesser-monstrosity for an easy stun-lock kill and with your grenade regeneration you'll probably get that 1 grenade you need for later in that fightThis build shines in Auric Maelstrom because you're made to brace and halt anything in one direction and you gain strength the more you kill, plus the ammo efficiency is so high you can fire for a ridiculously long amount of timeThe Agripinaa VIII is already great at killing monstrosities, but you can even safely kill a daemonhost if your team is also on your level, Plague Ogryns and Chaos Spawn as well, and depending on ammo you can even afford to fire into Beast of Nurgles face, there's possibly some piercing mechanic there letting you hit the weakspot from the front. Most interesting is how tanky this build is, Exhilarating Takedown and Iron Will let you shake off a lot of potential insta-kills, combined with your shout you can take a poxburster direct hit without taking any health damage, and your ability to dish out stagger means you will win most trades at close-mid range. This means you can afford for things to get messy even in maelstrom, perfect for carrying new players who aren't sure how to hold a position yetMost fights you can open with Shout, gun down several specialists, and have another shout ready to go right when you would really need it, which is why we take all 3 of the +damage on Shout talents for maximum burst potential, there's nothing quite like a surprise blitz of 15 shotgunners running around the corner where you've braced and aimed at head-level, and that +45% damage means you'll get to watch all 15 of those kills go to you, and the scoreboard will be full of your deeds, and your team will chuckle and shake their heads knowing that you got lucky, but you'll swear it will feel like it was all skill
It takes some getting used to but you really do have to play it ultra-aggressively, sometimes walking past bulwarks, gunners, and other dangers just to get the perfect positioning and timing for a shout to stun the entire battle, especially good for mutant waves or monstrosities, good shout timing can allow you to juggle several problems at once and is usually perfect for reversing the momentum of an enemy charge, plus your brauto ability to stagger anything within mid-range means you can fold the enemy melee line with a shout and gun down their backline before their melee is even back on their feet
Prove to your team that you'll lead them to victory by shouting poxbursters to death, they'll love it, every time you do it your teammates whisper to themselves 'fuck yeah', and decide to be 10% stupider with you while charging in. Ogryns are the quickest to learn stupidity, but zealots and even beefy Psykers can also come to understand the depths of your stupidity. Your goal is to get your entire team to be 100% stupid with you and just run in even if it's a bad idea, eventually your team will learn that if you have a brauto firing, if they all fire in that direction too then by your powers combined it dies, whatever was there is not there now, and it happened that way because you all had faith in the emperor, strategy no longer applies, a small mind is a tidy mind, which is the goal of darktidebarely worth mentioning but powersword is strong, kills everything with charged heavies, rarely use it unless it's dense horde /ragers, but even then you will do more with your Agripinaa, so powersword is really only needed to buy that little bit of breathing room you need to take control with brauto or a grenade
