Description
this ogre is actually fucked
best overall build in the game, ez
rumbler/kickback 1 shot reapers
basher stunlocks crushers and kills them in 3 hits
cleave cc is 100 from mega guns and club
cleave is massive and ur invincible while doing it
taunt to save ur team and crush stuff faster
easily smush all types of enemies
can legit do everything by yourself w this
make sure u delete snipers/gunners asap bc they will smash you if you ignore them
the only thign that is fr scary is flamers/trappers blasting u through a horde
generally what u wanna do about this is:
- taunt them to interrupt
- mash them with kickback (best option bc it has better punch thru, but i usually fw the rumbler)
- donk them w rumbler bomb (they will either die instantly or get suppressed/staggered from explosion - problem w this is that sometimes its hard to hit them through enemies)
- crunch them with the stupid cube grenade (pretty much the same thing as rumbler, but the lil nades that drop have more reliable stagger and last longer. very safe backup, worth keeping a spare nade for this bc it saves u from wiping a lot)
- dodge spam backwards/sideways and push the little gremlins into them to get some space
- delete them with ogre grenade (better than cube grenade, but u cant spec into this bc 25% melee impact is 100% needed. its how ur invincible in melee and can stunlock everything. also cube nade is actually really good, its just kinda silly bc its the same thing as the rumbler.)
- if theyre rly close you might be able to push up to them with club and smash em, but its hella dangerous. do this if u have nothing else to do
do not swap out brunts basher
- u need this club
- everything about it is perfect
- hits hard as fuck
- swings really fast
- best mobility/defensive mobility (ogryn obviously needs this bc he is fat and slow)
- fast weapon swap (build works by swapping between melee/ranged)
- best armour pen of all ogre melee weapons
- one of the only weapons ogre gets that can reliably crunch carapace and bosses, one of the things this build is best at (idk why the club does that much to unyielding)
- cleave stagger is probably the best of any melee in the game except the shield
- cleave damage is quite great
- blessings are the best of all ogre melee weapons
- thunderous is obviously the best. this shit is so good.
- smash em makes u invincible 1v1
- momentum/confident strike will make u invincible in cleave, use whichever one u want
- skullcrusher is gonna stack up fuckin heaps of damage, but we need cleave toughness more
- smackdown is pretty much just a worse skullcrusher (crit doesnt do much for the club, and 40% is way better. plus u dont need to waste time doing the smack)
humongous ogre guns
Rumbler
- my fave
- enormous damage to everything in a fucken MASSIVE area
- suppresses and knocks almost everything over in 1 shot
- takes a bit of getting used to
- generally u wanna shoot stuff in the foot bc then the bomb will explode right next to them (this does way more dmg and stagger than hitting them in the face, and having the bomb explode ages away from them. also cleave is more predictable bc the explosion will be centered around them)
- reload is fast for what it is
- carries a LOT of bombs
- i like this more than the kickback bc its easier to delete gunners/snipers that are blasting you from rly far away (these things are generally what stops you from doing what u want, and if you dont have curio DR on them they hurt a lot)
- damage is rly consistent against armour types
- shooting enormous bombs in this dumbass break action bomb launcher this=dream gun
- blessings are honestly kinda shit
- shattering impact is good
- adhesive charge is generally what i use bc u need aoe cleave around them and it makes the damage reliably high as fuck on big scary stuff
- but gloryhunter gives a lot of toughness too
- this gun needs at least 3 more blessings, 2 of them pretty much dont do anything
- you need to run big boom to use this, which means you have to drop
Kickback
- at least as good as rumbler - use whichever u like
- mega damage
- mega punchthrough
- reloads really fast
- has FUCKEN HEAPS of ammo
- mushes everything except carapace, but generally u wanna whack these with ur club anyway
- stupid range for a shotgun, spread is perfect
- aim if u want someone removed from existence
- hipfire if u want ur entire screen to be covered in monster bits
- objectively this might be better than the rumbler bc the blessings are so much better
- surgical gives u massive crit chance
- full bore increases all dmg by 30% for 5 sec, and its rly easy to get bc the gun is weirdly accurate, especially on big stuff
- expansive is pretty good but its unreliable, and generally you want more melee dmg vs single targets, not aoe
- terrifying barrage will save you and ur friends quite a lot
- kickback>rumbler at smushing flamers/trappers thru hordes, but terrifying barrage makes it a lot better again
- gun also feels fuckin awesome
- AND if ur running this you can drop big boom and get bruiser/best defence. these are both a big deal, especially bc it means you can get a dps blessing instead of momentum on the club
Other weapons
brunt's pride is pretty much the same thing but a lil worse
shovel v is also the same but wayyy too slow and clumsy
cleavers dont work bc they suck shit vs a lot of armour types
shield also doesnt work bc its too slow, and sucks shit vs carapace
grenade gauntlet
- very funny gun
- even better at removing the stuff u wanna shoot (eg snipers, gunners)
- but the explosion radius is shit compared to the other guns' cleave
- and this build needs ranged cleave/suppress as good as the other 2
- shattering impact is really good on this
- pinpointing target is also really good
- gloryhunter good too
- BUT it doesnt work with this build bc
- reload is too slow
- it runs out of ammo way faster than the others
- the club is way better at punching than this, even grenade punch
- slow to swap and shit mobility
- u can use this if you want, and its good
- but its definitely worse than the other 2
heavy stubber/ripper gun don't work in this oltimate ogre build
- these guns are obviously nuts
- but they dont work in hybrid builds like this
- pure range ogre has the talents needed to kill ranged enemies w these guns (burst limiter, point blank barrage, +suppression, mobile emplacement, unstoppable momentum, coward culling, steady grip, get stuck in, bruiser)
- but hybrid cant get any of these without making its melee dogshit
- so these guns with this build dont kill those enemies reliably enough
- and u really really need to kill them, or they will kill u
- so jsut dont use those weapons in this build pls
