The main feature of the build is a perk for 2 shots at crit and a chance of crit. We get the chance of a crit on a staff. SUPER IMPORTANT: these are the 2 key things of the build. It will work 1/3 without them. 

What's the style of play?
 

Just clamp the loaded shot to half and shoot. On armored opponents - full charge, on shooters - spam barely charged. We also take straight hands and no one will come close to us at all, because the stun is some kind of cosmic, like the damage itself. The main thing is to keep an eye on overheating and look behind your back, because the game likes to throw a few opponents somewhere behind)
 

About melee combat and why the mind explosion talent was chosen. If (seriously???) if it comes to melee, then we dodge and spam the explosion from the staff under us. The sword also cuts through the crowd quite well. If any elite is nearby, then a charged attack with a mutant sword drops 2-3 times.
