Hammerblow can be changed to something else however I’ve found the most success with it for elite packs
Ranged weapon is personal preference as well, I prefer something like the boltgun, braced autogun, flamer, or shredder, something to pull out and mag dump when things get spicy. But the main thing you’ll be using your ranged weapon for is elite packs, as the thunder hammer is slow at dealing with large numbers of medium sized enemies.
You can take this build up to Auric maelstrom and it’ll work just fine, it’s nothing groundbreaking, probably not meta, but it does the job and I’ve yet to find a more fun build.
