10% Critical Chance for every 0.3-0.45 second while aiming. Stacks 10 times. Discharges all stacks upon firing.
The purpose of this build is to be right where the fighting is, but being able to dip out at a moments notice to help team mates or work the objective using infiltrate. the build is very capable and dealing with hordes, specials and elites while also having the mobility to kite bosses around to give allies a better shot or a chance to heal and reload.
the build survival ability is its staple as you'll have at least 240 toughness with a high toughness damage reduction due to iron will and hunters resolve. iron will will be more useful as it will be constant while hunters resolve will be for circumstances where rushing in is your best option as both perks active at the same time will result in a 100% damage reduction for 10s. And as for toughness regen confirmed kill, on your toes, glory hunter and general melee toughness and coherency regen will keep your toughness high so long as you play aggressive.
while the builds damage isn't as great as a plasma gun or a thunder hammer I can assure you the damage from bleed, fast attacks, weak spot bonuses and crits from the knife and the revolvers burst damage and armour penetration is more than enough for any heretics that stand in your way. not to mention perks such as agile engagement, serrated blade, desperado, trench fighter and when you use infiltrate close quarter Killzone and surprise attack give your guardsman a healthy damage boost, and that's before we take the blessings and weapon perks into account.
finally the classes ability. while it may just seem like a get out of jail free card at first ,which it is if you get backed into a corner, it can be used for so much more. for example ally gone down use the ability and rush in and save them (no man left behind also helps here), objective needs doing in the middle of a horde? they will not see you as you get it sorted as your team fights them off. bloody barrels knocked our favourite ogyrns off the edge then go stealth and pick him up. in short the ability makes you an effective support without having to invest too much into being a support class as its always got a use for a creative player.
I've tested this build over several damnation and auric class missions and is a very capable member of any strike team, just be careful of those snipers and hounds.
