Hi! Welcome to my Very Dumb Eviscerator build guide. As a quick foreword: I made this build as an experiment with building for the MkXV Eviscerator. While successful, it's a very dumb build to play and may teach or reinforce bad habits for Heresy and above, as other builds and classes typically won't have this bulk.
This build's core idea is being able to take hordes to the face with the Eviscerator and come out on top through sheer tankiness and regeneration through crits and cleave, rather than mobility and upfront damage. It's rather slow to kill Elites and Specialists, but it can manage with enough swings, revved attacks, or simply shooting them.
As mentioned, I use the MkXV Eviscerator mostly because it's nice and simple - sweeping lights, Strikedown heavies. If you've got the brain power to pull off the attack rotations the MkII Eviscerator asks for, feel free to run that instead.
Blessings-wise, Shred is an obvious pick since this is a crit-focused build, and I use Wrath to be able to cleave through armored units and keep the crit effects going as much as possible. Savage Sweep is also an option over Wrath, but I value consistency over potential value.
For guns, you can use just about anything that you feel complements the Eviscerator; Personally, the Zarona MkIIa Revolver is my go-to choice. Great damage and range, good against armor, fast, and works nicely with crits (Hand Cannon and your choice of Surgical/Crucian Roulette). Suppression can ruin it, though, which is problematic if you can't close the gap or take the first shot, so if you're worried about that, Heavy Laspistols, Braced Autoguns and the Shredder can suppress back, leaving the Eviscerator to deal with armor. Heavy Laspistols work well with crits, too!
The Immolation Grenade both ends up being the Blitz option with the most coverage and overall point effectiveness, but you can shift an extra Skill Point to get Blades of Faith instead if you prefer. The main game-plan is to use Fury of the Faithful to start fights and recover Toughness; the guaranteed crit will help kickstart Scourge and Blazing Piety, which in turn help trigger Enduring Faith and Invocation of Death. You're basically going to swing away at a horde through their sheer numbers and armor and outlast trash while saving your dodges for the hard hitters. Since our crit swings will hit multiple enemies, Invocation of Death will let us charge often to maintain Toughness and boosted attack speed, as well as move from group to group of enemies as needed
Faithful Frenzy helps further speed up the MkXV's slow swings, and also leads us to Martyr's Purpose as an additional counterbalance. Between how slowly you walk while attacking and how many blows you'll be sponging up from trash, shooters and Elites, you'll be recovering Fury of the Faithful even faster alongside - especially if you mess up and take a big hit you shouldn't have. And if your Toughness breaks, you get to recover a ton of health through Holy Revenant and Restoring Faith until you can dash again.Hope you enjoy if you stumbled across this build and decide to use it.
