Description
Tired of getting team wiped because you were fighting a horde and those pesky ranged units drained all your toughness? With this build that's a problem of the past. You will be able to support you and your teams emotional health by keeping all those pesky ranged units from shooting your teammates, and help keep their toughness up with the tried and true Thunderdome™. And the Thunderdome™ comes with a dual purpose. When your not hiding from the touch of ranged units it can be used to keep your toughness up to prevent the unwashed masses of Nurgle's followers from corrupting your health. Simply place the Thunderdome™ at your feet when the unwashed masses show themselves and equip your Febreze spray and turn those stinky masses into a pile of ash. And when you have something tanky in front of you, or your Thunderdome™ is on cooldown and there is a gunner harassing you, simply use the "gift" that the God Emperor gave you and turn their brain to mush. And if you've been playing correctly you will be able to do that at no peril cost! Chain together elite kills with the burst and you can reduce a patrol of 25 gunners to mush in a matter of seconds.
This build is meant to be a team support build, it works best when you have someone next to you that can keep things off of you long enough for you to charge your staff. Try and maintain coherency and if you notice your teams toughness start dropping, drop the shield to help keep them alive. If you see a whole bunch of gunners, or ragers and you already have a charge of empowered psionics you can use that charge to obliterate the whole lot of them. It's less effective if you cant one shot them with brain burst but can still work. If you have a whole bunch of peril switch to your sword. Its great for horde clear if you just spam light attack (remember to be dodging constantly, and block). Also you can one shot mutants if you manage to heavy attack them right to the head.
The stats on the curios can be swapped out for anything you want but make sure you always have at least one stamina curio. The perks on the staff can be swapped for what you want as well as the sword. Precognition can be swapped for riposte, but for the staff focused channeling and terrifying barrage are a must. Terrifying barrage allows for the staff to not only damage a whole bunch but also stun everything your shooting, except for the big guys. Its single fire staggers enough to stagger ragers, giving you a little breathing room to either swap to your sword or to brain burst them.
Feel free to make any alterations to the talents but perilous combustion and wildfire are a must. You could swap the critical chance boost for kinetic flayer but that's player preference. (although my preference is probably wrong)
