The Arch-Militant is a build i have developed after the game Rogue Trader.  ( feel free to change anything so it fits your playstyle )

The Build is about to be able to switch between Melee and Range which ease.

While having a very high mobility and speed

 

A hybrid for the Veteran, which means you have to be a bit more careful than the Plasma/VoC build. Due to being more in melee and not having stealth, you must exercise more caution. However, it is much more rewarding because you are not afraid of the enemy of Mankind. You are the first and last line of defense against the enemy of Man. Now go out and show them why they should fear you!

 

To the TLDR;

Shoot with Lasgun at the marked enemy, take out your sword, and start cut them down. Take out the your Lasgun and kill the marked enemy. Repeat.

 

This build is for people who want to charge into enemy lines and hack and slash. When the time calls for it, being able to take out their Lasgun and dish out some damage.

The longShot which sticks out of the build is simple: to make your Lasgun better at longer range.

Afterward, the talent goes for the Krak grenade. Because even after all the talent and perks, etc., you can take on Carapace Ogryns in a 1v1, but when a group steps up, you will thank the God-Emperor that you had the Krak Grenade with you.

( I use them ONLY when i see Ogryns. )

 

Go over and take Close Agile Engagement, with this one you can pump out 25% more damage when doing your hacking&shooting.

Then the talent goes for Voice of Command, which suits the Arch-Militant due to the commanding nature.

As for going down, take For The Emperor! This will help you greatly as you can close in on range, pop your ult to gain the extra toughness and the melee boost from the talent, or use it when you get swarmed.

 

Bring it down! helps you take down Ogryns even faster. With Rending Strike, it turns ALL your weapons, even ranged ones, into more deadly weapons.

Moving over to the Weapon Specialist tree, Close Quarter Killzone will only help you more in combat when you use VoC..

Mean when you use VoC, in a group of horde you can pretty much cleave through a Horde with speed and ease.

 

For Weapons:

This is my own thought on melee and ranged weapons.

Power Sword: Munitorum Mk III Power Sword. I like this because you can heavy swing through enemy lines and hordes with ease. The Special Power helps deal with Ragers and Ogryns. I primarily use this because I feel it provides the best horde and enemy clear.

 

Accatran Mk XIV: At first i had picked Laspistol because i like how it was a combine of revolver and lasgun, due to its handling and power. But after doing testing I found out i can get even more damage using the Reconlasgun. You may not get the mobile as the one handed range weapon but you do not need it when you can mown down any with a hail of lasfire.

 

Sapper Shovel: Munitorum Mk III Sapper Shovel. Another fine weapon to use. It performs well against enemy lines but can struggle against hordes. The special attack works wonders against anything.

 

Chainsword: Cadia Mk IV Assault Chainsword. A fine weapon because of its versatility. Good all-arounder.

 

Heavy Laspistol: Kantrael Mk X Heavy Laspistol. I like how mobile you can be with this. When things go badly and you have to kite, this weapon is pretty good and it can handle itself in fights as well. I find this weapon more forgiving than the others. Should you miss your shots or just go for body shots.

 

Stub Revolver: Zarona Mk IIa Quickdraw Stub Revolver. Used it sometimes, and for those who use it, know it is very powerful in the right hands. But the drawback is the lack of ammo and reload speed. With good aim, it can be a killer. Doing it right you can easily take out Carapase Ogryns

 

Autopistol: Ius Mk III Shredder Autopistol. Another weapon which can be good if you know how. With the right perks and blessings, you can "shred" enemies.

 

Curios:

I use 2 Toughness and 1 Hp.

So i get around 200 hp which is always nice in melee combat.

The toughness is great against enemy fire when you rush them.

5% HP and 5% Toughness. More is better. and 20% gunner resist.

Getting 60% Gunner Resist is ( What I feel needed ) Because how many the game spawned on Auric.

plus when you charge they enemy, it always help not to get downed before reaching them.

 

With that, I give you the Arch-Militant. Imperial warrior of nigh-incomparable martial skill who has mastered nearly every form of battle, military tactics, and individual combat.
