Zealot's talents are so strong, even without a keystone it can still be meta. Just take a moment and realize HOW STRONG Zealot's early talent nodes are... This zealot is built like a tank - +75 toughness from the talent tree (practically an Ogryn), insane amounts of damage reduction (Benediction + Good Balance + Enduring Faith)... I don't think a keystone-less zealot can get stronger than this - its arguably stronger than using keystones.
This build uses Shroudfield, but you can very easily switch to Fury of the Faithful and get an extra +2 talent points you can put in Bleed for the Emperor, Fortitude in Fellowship, or Ambuscade. If attempting true duos or solos Shield of Contempt can also be insanely good (in regular lobbies not so much because randoms have a tendency to damage themselves all the time and will take your buff). The emperor's bullet also can be triggered by shooting 1 bullet at a time from the revolver and reloading, so you can get an on-demand +10% attack speed if you go this route. Unremitting is okay as it stacks multiplicatively with the stamina on the curious, but you might just want to use a +3 stamina curio instead and save the point.
Optionally, of course switch out immolation grenade for knives. As just mentioned, feel free to switch out a +17% toughness curio for +3 stamina too - this might especially be a good idea if you switch to Fury of the Faithful because you are losing out on that +1 stamina node which is fairly noticeable.
