With the recent release of the Shock Maul, I wanted to work out a fairly meta Zealot build for it. The main issue with the Shock Maul, is it hardly does any damage unless you stagger with it, which requires you wasting a blessing for Hammerblow....
However, with the right talent tree, you can totally avoid hammerblow. Here we pick up Punishment, Hammer of Faith, The Emperor's Bullet, and Grievous Wounds just for this. Normally, say with a knife zealot, these are all talents that are complete garbage, but here they work in our favor to give us Shock Maul value. With The Emperor's Bullet, you just have to empty your Zarona Revolver.... Then only reload 1 bullet in the chamber. Anytime you want that juicy +10% attack speed and +30% impact, you just shoot that 1 bullet and it will proc.
Overall, its not an insanely meta build, but you can do well with it even in Auric if you play well, and it is a very fun one to try out.
Optionally, you can get rid of Punishment and Faithful Frenzy, and go for the Pious Cut-Throat cooldown reduction. I always have issues getting it to actually proc in battle for some reason - it just seems very inconsistent so I go without it here, but it can definitely work well especially if you can get it to proc reliably.
