Go to the armory and look for these weapons with decent base stats:

Melee:

Rashad Axe, Power Sword (if you can get Power Cycler III+)

Ranged:

Zarona Revolver, Helbore (mk 1 ideally), Columnus V Autogun

If you don't see a decent one, buy 3-5 from the armory selector and use the best one.

Note that there's plenty of other amazing weapons on Vet, but they aren't as good when you're leveling because they struggle at low stats or are dependent on certain blessings.

I listed the meta Rashad and Zarona blessings up top. It's fine if you don't get them. Absolutely put any level of Brutal Momentum on the axe if you can though.

Most players recommend saving your plasteel and diamantine until level 30, but if you're struggling at malice it's definitely worth upgrading a weapon. The plasteel and diamantine cost is based on their base rating so weaker weapons cost less to upgrade. Start saving more around lv 25 for sure though.
