This is a solid Veteran build that's extremely capable of leading, carrying, and supporting your allies from behind them or right up next to them.

The whole idea for the build is centered around 2 mechanics:

  1. Applying Toughness Healing to allies.
  2. Quickly Reviving allies so they can get back in the fight incredibly quickly.

Explanation

Using the Ability in the lower half of the Tree called "Born Leader", you gaining Toughness also causes all Allies within Coherency to regain a portion of it. This is a core of the build, with all other abilities either jumping off of either this or a quicker revive.

Toughness Build:

Exhilarating Takedown - Gaining Toughness from Ranged Weakspot kills.

Confirmed Kill - Gaining Toughness for killing Elites and Specials.

Close Order Drill - Reduce Toughness Damage for yourself for each Ally in Coherency, thus increasing your survivability.

Covering Fire - Protecting allies by killing enemies near them to give them Toughness

Voice of Command - Replenishes your Toughness and Staggers enemies around you

Duty and Honor - This Add-On to the Voice of Command adds more Toughness, allowing you to go above the normal Max for you and Allies. It's a great "oh shit" button in general, and this max increase allows for a wider variety of plays.

Target Down! - This Add-on to Focus Target Replenishes Toughness to you and Allies after you or an ally kills the target of Focus Target.

Revive Build:

Leave No One Behind - Makes you move much faster towards downed allies, makes it much faster to revive and rescue allies, and gives them a significant DR buff. This is an always-purchase for me in Damnation on Vet.

Get back in the fight - This allows for you to block more Damage in a pinch, and the Stun immunity makes you harder to lock down.

Only in Death Does Duty End - An instant revive on allies within the radius. It's a must-have (In general imo). The decrease in radius is negligible in practice, but the CD increase does make it less available. If you want to reduce the penalty, replace some of the bonuses on your Curios.

General Build:

Determined - Allows you to regain Toughness easier with Ranged by completely negating suppression.

Demolition Stockpile - Makes it so your allies can have the grenades in the level. Grenades are important for clutch plays, and staggering hordes of dangerous Elites. a free Grenade every 60s is more useful than you think.

Demolition Team - rewards you for doing your job by covering your team and killing Elites and Specials by giving you Grenades. See above.

Tactical Awareness - Gives instant CDR on your Voice of Command when you kill a Special. Partially counteracts the CD increase from Only in Death Does Duty End.

Focus Target - Makes it a bit easier to kill bigger Targets by making them more vulnerable to all Damage.

Play suggestions:

If you can Revive, do it. It is your first priority to have all 4 of you up at one time. Yell at your team to group up, stick with your frontline and cover them by using your revolver, and revive revive revive! Your teammates are your most important resource, make sure to use them! You have a total +50% Revive Speed on normal revives, and a clutch revive with your Ability, make sure to use it.

DON'T SPAM YOUR TAG. For the love of god, please don't be this person. #1 it's annoying as hell and adds sounds to an already filled soundscape, and #2 you reset your Focus Target stacks completely back to 1, which isn't great or efficient. Pick your targets well, and especially don't tag spam the exact same target.

Your Melee Weapon is meant as a Horde clearing tool, but with more Energized attacks allows you to kill Elites and Specials very quickly. Remember that killing stuff in melee replenishes your Toughness, also Toughness healing those around you. You want to be in the thick of it at all times.
