GRIND.
A heavy assault / Jin-Roh themed Ogryn build that focuses on the sheer overwhelming firepower of the Achlys Heavy Stubber and uses the Karsolas Pickaxe for melee clear / anti-elite utility. This build consumes a LOT of ammunition, so it's best paired with classes that don't require ammo or use very little of it (Psyker / Zealot or certain Vet builds) and has serious counter-synergy with a lot of Veteran class options, as their firepower is overall better than what the Achlys can bring to bear. If your team doesn't need to use much ammo and you can freely devour any ammo drops you find- then this build does the job perfectly.
HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE THE BUILD:
You're heavily reliant on your ability to ruthlessly and efficiently mulch through entire crowds of enemies at both close range and long distance. A slow, oppressive advance drowning out any enemy opposition in a tempest of gunfire while your allies close the distance or join your fusillade of fury. Due to the high staggering capabilities of the Achlys, and its inherent penetration capabilities, means you're easily capable of punching holes in Gunner formations, mulching through hordes of would-be opponents, and throw around heavier Elites with enough firepower to clear a Hive District.
Most importantly, however, is your ability to absolutely and totally annihilate any boss enemy with impunity, turning any would-be boss into a distant, bullet-filled memory as you trudge past its blighted corpse and slot another drum in. Your ability inflicts 2 stacks of burn for every shot that connects to a target, and giving the Achlys an additional 25% rate of fire means you are absolutely vomiting shells down range which will melt (literally) anything dumb enough to be on the business end of your barrel. Daemonhost? Gone. Plague Ogryn? Vaporized. Chaos Spawn? Pulverized. Beast of Nurgle? Fumigated. Even Assassination Targets are reduced to smoking piles of gore and sinew.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You should ALWAYS keep at least one full magazine in reserve incase of a surprise boss attack or accidental Daemonhost trigger. Never spend your whole reserve.
BUILD WEAKNESSES:
While the Build works excellently against most targets, the Achyls struggles significantly against heavier armored opponents like Crushers and Maulers- Capable of staggering them, but dealing low damage-per-bullet unless using Point-Blank Barrage, This means you're pretty reliant on your team to deal with large packs of Crushers or Maulers, but you can still grind them down over time- just expect to use a lot of ammo while doing so. Fortunately, Scab Ragers are less "armored", so you can still destroy them with impunity.
