1/1/2025 Changes:

changing out Nomanus Blessing Warp Nexus for transfer peril: Higher Skill Ceiling build requiring hits on weak spots to get crits. However, has more horde clearing capability  being able to keep peril more manageable over longer periods of combat. As you will be aiming weak spots and keeping Scrier's gaze running longer, you probably won't need Warp Nexus to trigger crit buff stacks.

Using Blaze greatsword: Illsi runs a problem in dealing with Carapace. It forces you to rely on nomanus zap which causes you to dump Scrier's gaze and numerous zaps to hold carapace squads at bay. Blaze greatsword needs wrath to not rely on peril to get cleave and requires you to run Lightning Speed as the additional melee attack speed makes the weapon viable.

Took away talents Empyric Shock and Solidity. Put towards melee talents Lightning Speed and the like

Empyric shock does buff your nomanus damage. However, for the enemies that don't die to 5 hits, the damage is too paltry against those enemy types to need this talent (particularly boss monstronsities).

Solidity +20% quell speed hardly adds anything. In fact, i think quell needs to be +50% to actually have a measurable effect to use a talent point.

Took off battle meditation (due to inconsistency in horde management). Instead go for soul fire for more utility in low visibility conditions.

Goal of this build is still the same. However, you aren't solely dependant on Nomanus staff. and can use melee weapon to horde clear and deal with Monstrosities. Less crit chance, but hardly that important than being able to continue shooting bolts.

---------------------------------------------

The main goal of this build is to ramp up +warp attk stacks via crit mechanisms. 90% of the time you will be using Force stave primary attacks.

Its worth noting a few crit mechanisms.

Its main weaknesses are elite crusher squadrons to some degree as well as weak damage to bosses. However, for all other situations, it's able to excel quite well. Probalby not as good as recon lasgun pskyer, but a very fun build nevertheless.

Surge blessing doubles crit hits. So not only is it a 2x multiplier on top of a crit multlipler (so ~4x) it also procs twice the talent stacks for the following talents:

  • Empyric shock (+30% warp attk on force stave primary, )
  • Mettle (toughness on crit and Movement speed buff)
  • Perfect Timing (+15% warp attk)
  • True Aim, if it hits (counts as two stacks). Its worth noting that True aim does waste stacks when actual crits occur, however its not a detriment to this build.
  • Empathic Evasion which gives ranged attack immunity whilst you criting.

All these stacks lend towards building Disrupt Destiny stacks and drive your momentum engine going.

With that being said, Scrier's gaze has multiple uses. One of which is to start up this momentum engine going. Turning up Scrier's gaze give syou the necesssary crit%  to start building up the aforementioned talent stacks to then build Disrupt Destiny stacks (when allowed) easily.

Scrier's gaze also has a few additional uses:

  1. Builds peril very fast to take advantage of warp nexus --> leading to more talent stacks
  2.  horde clearing with Illsi (procing Battle meditation to keep Gaze going to build Gaze dmg stacks)
  3.  Toughness building engine when you proc quell, as well as literallly being able to walk through gas holding down quell button when Gaze has lasted for quite some time. With Solidity and 80% quell stave, you can hold onto Gaze indefinitely to generate toughness as well as generate Gaze dmg stacks. This is also why Reality Anchor is chosen over Precognition due to the former's versatility in this build. It is also unnecessary to build Gaze finesse stacks
  4. With Warp unbound, we can take advantage of all the above to spam Stave charged secondary (taser) on elite squadrons for 13+ seconds due to the peril overload immunity. Its usually enough for teammates to kill off enough Crushers and Maulers. This talent selection also lets you to take full advantage of the following:
    1. One with the Warp (+toughness dmg reduction)
    2. Warp rider (+20% dmg  on high peril)

All these stacks mean, you could be operating, just on the damage side an additive total (just as a summary point) of +110% warp dmg. THis is not counting for surge essentially ~4x on crit.

On weapons and blessing selection:

Melee: Illsi

  •  Your melee weapon is largely meant to deal with hordes as primary attk stave will not keep up at times.
  • I find this way better over the new blaze greatsword due Illsi's better attack speed and access to warp slice to build toughness on kill (Soulstealer) as well as quell (though Nom Stave is way better)
  • alternatives (though probably not improvements): Devil claw (terrible blessings and vs elites), blaze great sword (a middle ground option, but neither is it spectacular for the roles it purports to fill as a "finesse"-centric heavy weapon).

It goes without saying the Nomanus and the blessing selections are staples. The only real choice are the perks on Nomanus.

I choose unyielding to have some utility against bosses (for which this is very weak). Its possible to switch out with carapace to pull off repeated elite squadrons.
