Description
Giving Dueling Sword to Zealot was a mistake. Here's how you can abuse it. This is a more defensive variant of my other Poketide build (https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9d30eca8-0a03-4422-a3a4-dadc57b4627b/poketide-loner), sacrificing freedom of movement for better insurance and slightly better crowd control. See there for a more detailed overview of strategy.
Stick closer to your team than you would with the Loner build, but always be the tip of the spear. A Zealot not in melee combat is a worthless Zealot. Throw Stun Grenades if you get cornered by a horde or see a big group that you don't think you can handle yourself. Use Fury of the Faithful/Martyrdom as directed in the other build guide. Snipe specials with revolver, don't shoot elites with it; poke 'em instead.
If you don't want to take Martyrdom, go for Inexorable Judgement instead, taking Pious Cutthroat and Inebriate's Poise.
