(Weapon Clarification: The Helbore Mark 2 is now renamed MK V in-game)

This build encompasses what a Kriegsman should be in battle, able to return fire at advancing enemies and, if need be, charge into the fray with their trusty bayonet and shovel.
The goal of this build is to be lore-adhesive (which means we're using these Krieg weapons) and make it viable all-rounder to enjoy. Carapace enemies take a bit more work, but the Helbore are capable after a good few charged shots to their heads.

-----------------------------------------------------

(Weapons and Blessings)

---Shovel

Shovel is a given when it comes to Kriegsmen and it makes for excellent crowd control with high maneuverability which you definitely feel when charging heavies into a crowd and dodging sideways around them.
The Blessings we chose makes this an even more effective horde-grinder since you'll want to repeatedly chain Heavy-Heavy to hit a mass of them which will stagger them, triggering [Skullcrusher], and repeated confirmed hits into a crowd triggers [Decimator], increasing your shovel's power and damage the more swings that go in, making short work of the mob.
You're welcome to change perks to your liking, but I chose +10% melee damage (Poxwalkers, Groaners) and +25% damage (Infested) to further emphasize my need to delete the crowds

---Helbore Mk V (AKA Mark 2 in past)

The signature arm of a Kriegsman. Since this build focuses on getting into the fray, I chose the fastest charging shot as you will be shooting threats quickly and returning bash or stab heretics heads once again. This mark also has the better bayonet forward stab unlike the heaviest hitting helbore downward strike and keeps ragers in a stun check.
Blessings: Since we have the fastest charging Helbore, we take full advantage of this by using [Armourbane] which adds up to 20% brittleness stacks based on the charge of the shot making the target vulnerable. After the shot, you can either follow up more shots or go for the melee.

The second blessing I chose to go with [Sustained Fire] since if the first shot doesn't kill them outright, the next 3 shots are going to put some pain to finish the job (or catch their unlucky friend targets next). If you're a fan of shooting here and there between a melee then you'll definitely will benefit from this. Not like some meek militarum soldier in the back only shooting in safety.

Perks I went was Flak (best value perk most enemies, gunners, etc) and maniac for pesky ragers that figured running into your bayonet was a good idea.

Against Carapace units, the helbore performs adequate enough in taking out a single crusher with a few shots in the head, although not to the degree of the heavier hitting sniper fitted helbore or other Less-Krieg-Identifying guns. Should a herd of them attack, rely on your team to handle them or be prepare to use your nimbleness to backtrack and take them out one at a time.

Talents

---First branch:
We pick up just the middle two since we need more points towards the bottom.
Picking up [Close Order Drill] and [Confirmed Kill] will help us in survival when the fight gets thick

---Second Branch:

The grenade choice was a bit mixed feeling in wanting either Krak or smoke, but for point allocation, I went with [Smoke Grenade] as it helps in keeping your team covered from pesky heretic shooter enemy support allowing you to focus on the melee fray in front of you, or toss one ahead into a group of shooters and teach them what melee is all about.

The juicy talent we're after and to also justify grabbing smoke over krak is [Agile Engagement]. If this talent doesn't yell "Kriegsman on a Battlefield", not sure what does. It rewards you with 5 seconds spike in 25% damage when switching between weapons after making a kill which gives even more value in this build for being all rounder in range and melee. After that we pick up [Close and Kill]. May not be Survivalist for that nice ammo retention, but Helbores already have a good ammo economy that sees you last longer than your teammates ammo. And some might appreciate that 5% extra speed if they're a big fan of bayonet rushing from one enemy to the next like I am

---Third Branch:

Doesn't really need much explanation, grab the [Demolition Stockpile] talent for chucking grenades on a daily minute basis and [Voice of Command] as a well-known goated survival tool for your team (and later explained a damage upper in the build). Who doesn't like to yell out a war cry when jumping into battle?

---Fourth (Bottom) Branch:

Woooh boy, this one is all over the place...

Right Side:

This is our melee tree. We will amplifying our shout with yet another damage spike talent [Close Quarters Killzone] (+one other talent in the middle tree, mentioned later). [Desperado] easy pick for that generous finesse and crit damage in our shovel swings. [Trench Fighter Drill] sounds Krieg enough and extra +10% melee speed is nice too. I do a lot of running forward, usually with a bayonet, so I chose [Skirmisher] which lasts 8s and potentially give max +25% damage as you run more.
I grabbed [Weapon Specialist]. Had to give up grabbing on [Rending Strikes] from middle side, but felt this was better value for swapping weapons in battle. I had overlooked [Weapon Specialist], but that last part 15% melee attack speed and 10% dodge speed only activating after a single range kill for a whole 10 seconds after wielding your shovel was too good to pass up (and further sped up melee speed by our previous [Trench Fighter Drill] from earlier making it 25% melee speed in total]

Middle Side:

We grab [For the Emperor] that gives +10% melee and range damage for 5s  to couple with our other talent earlier [Close Quarters Killzone] that gave +15% close damage. Now we're seeing 25% damage spike for close enemies upon a shout for first 5s then down to 15% damage spike in the last 5s of the total 10s shout buff. And those 10 seconds will be put to good use when players tend to shout special enemy crowds and hordes right in front of them. We further amplify our shouting by grabbing [Tactical Awareness] that lessens cooldown on specialist kill, grab [Iron Will] to strengthen toughness to become a tougher sturdier Kriegsman in the thick of battle. Grab [Bring it Down!] to help fight off pesky crusher and reapers with our charged shots.

Left Side:

[Precision Strikes], good for weakspots, popping heads off and killing harder targets quicker. [Fully Loaded] is nice boon to helbore's great ammo economy to be even more efficient should you really find yourself rapidly spam shooting the enemy shooters and opposition. We grab [Superiority Complex] (+15% elite damage) obviously since Krieg soldiers are second to none... except of course the Commissars and God-Emperor that is...

Hope this guide helped you arm yourself like a True Kriegsman. May the heretics cower upon hearing your Krieg war cry and find a bayonet in their chests.
Feel free to modify this build to your own liking and playstyle if need be, but it may be strained build being stretched across talents.
