Primary fire has high stagger, medium damage, very slow application of soulblaze. Use it to stagger enemies like ragers and maulers, stagger trappers and shooters as you slide towards them, stagger a horde that's right in your face, or to apply a 6-30% [warp damage taken] debuff up to 5 times.
Secondary fire has much faster soulblaze application and more dps, but low stagger. Use it to fuck up a horde.
Against bosses: Full blast of secondary, followed by either a half blast or a few quick buffs to get to max stacks. Then switch to melee for rending, continue spraying Inferno for blaze away and to kill other enemies near the monstrosity, or pop a dome and brain rupture.
Quell Cancelling: primary fire on warp staves can animation cancel by quelling after an attack. There's guides you can look up for it, but basically if you hit Quell immediately after clicking, it lets you left click again sooner. Getting the timing right lets you do it faster. Movement also affects the timing, so it's easiest to do consistently while moving in a single direction (not angular or standing still).
Blaze Away: Gives 5 stacks for a very short right click or you can get them up quick by quell cancelling.
