Description WIP

Summary: This is a fun build I constantly use as an Ogryn to complete maelstroms with, especially the "Mauler/Crusher Spam" scab only / mostly melee ones and any with "Monstrous Specials".  It is a frontline all-rounder melee build that is heavily anti-elite, anti boss, while being mobile (for an Ogryn) with Indomitable + Bruiser combo and incredibly resilient with Feel no Pain and Delight in Destruction + Batter + Kickback Special Attack combo.

Strengths:

- Can one shot maulers, crushers, and muties easily, can shred bosses without expending ammunition or using specials

- It is super hard to kill you in melee, especially during hordes with the Kickback

- You can even take a sniper shot with barely a scratch if you have FNP + Max Toughness + Nearby Bleeding Enemies

- You can nearly go entire games without ever actually shooting your range weapon

- If you do need to shoot it, the Kickback is surprisingly good at dealing with any Specials, including snipers!

Weaknesses:

- You can be overwhelmed by numerous spread out ranged enemies, especially if you are out of ammo

- Bulwarks throw a wrench into your plans, they should be the target of an Indomitable when you see them if you don't have a teammate that can deal with them (Krak Grenade Vet is your best friend)

- You are going to be slow with your pickaxe out. Don't get cornered, use Indomitable if you have to escape

Skills Rationale:

- Furious: Useful when spamming Kickback's Special Attack (it counts as a heavy) on hordes. You can kill them a lot quicker this way.

- Heavyweight: This perk allows you to one shot the elite Ogryns with a weakspot heavy attack. Super useful against Plague Ogryns too. Also helps tank Reaper fire if its a problem.

- The Best Defense: Makes you very hard to kill during hordes with Kickback Special spam.

- Bombs Away!: This is a swappable preference choice. I like having more of an "oh sh*t" button than a reusable special sniper, especially since the kickback usually does a better job. However, if you are a Big Friendly Rock enjoyer, you can swap to this without penalty!

- Slam!: Important Impact boost, staggers enemies if you accidently miss the weakspot. Very helpful for keeping Dreg Ragers (and Scab) in check with the pickaxe.

- Indomitable + Pulverise: Indomitable is both a mobility tool and a crowd control tool. Helps you manage mixed hordes and trip up Bulwarks. Pulverise is more useful than Trample, it allows you to deal more damage with it and it helps keep you alive thanks to DiD

- Crunch!: Incredible damage that stacks with Thrust when you charge heavies with your pickaxe. The impact bonus is super useful for staggering problem enemies like Ragers too.

- Batter + Delight in Destruction (DiD): This combo keeps you very tanky during hordes, and even helps a bit against bleeding bosses. The bleed also helps kill them quicker.

- Hard Knocks: Helps with mixed hordes, push the trash mobs away while also maybe staggering the problem elite, then wack the elite with a boosted melee heavy. This and the prerequiste node can be swapped with Strongest! and the Toughness Damage Reduction node below No Stopping Me!

- Too Stubborn to Die: Mostly a prerequisite for No Stopping Me!, but the extra regen on low health is useful in bad situations... although I rarely get to this point.

- No Stopping Me!: Your chargeups are a bit long... you will most likely need this for mixed hordes / ragers so that if you are hit while charging up you don't get interrupted by spam attacks when targeting a key elite in the horde.

- Get Stuck In: Prerequisite for Bruiser, but extra speed for u and your allies is useful, and your ranged allies would appreciate temporary suppression immunity.

- Bruiser: Much faster recharges of Indomitable, allowing you to be mobile when facing elite hordes.

- No Pushover: Helps with controlling hordes, has more use cases than Won't Give In but is swappable if you prefer to be the team reviver.

- Feel No Pain + Pained Outburst + Toughest!: This is the cherry on top of your tanky cake. More toughness regen helps keep health chips from melee lower. Pained Outburst takes priority over Stongest! because it can actually save you from Disablers if they break your FnP stacks due to the push! If you really want Strongest! for more tankyness, swap Hard Knocks and its pre-node with Strongest! and the Toughness Damage Reduction node below No Stopping Me!

Weapon Rationale:

Branx Mk Ia Delver's Pickaxe

A legendary heavy Strikedown that can one shot crushers in this build. This heavy strikedown is great against bosses too. The crowd control is wonky but thats what the kickback is for!

Carapace and Unyielding for more boss damage and to ensure Crusher and Mauler one shots.

Limbsplitter is a neat boost every few seconds to help out with damage while Thrust gives you constant extra damage to heavies you should be charging due to Crunch!

Lorenz Mk V Kickback:

A spammable special that counts as a heavy that is great for horde clearing. The shot itself is surprisingly long range for a shotgun, and can often kill snipers and other specials in one shot even when its super far away.

Infested and Flak, infested for the special spam and Flak for both the special spam and help with dealing with Range Elites like Gunners.

Run n Gun effectively improves the range of the shot and Pierce makes it more effective for horde clear.

Curios:

All designed to increase tankyness. You can swap some health out for combat ability regen if you want, but i think this is the best mix.

Fighting Combos / Reactions:

- Hordes: Pull out the kickback and special spam. Even if you are hit a few times you will barely take any health damage in your massive health pool. Dont be afraid to shoot some if theyre being bottlenecked by a chokepoint!

- Mixed Hordes: Use pickaxe heavy + light + heavy to deal with the problem elites, then switch to kickback special. Pickaxe Special + Heavy Attack + Heavy Attack can also help.

- Elite Hordes: Pickaxe Heavy + light + heavy on tougher elites, light spam if dealing with weaker ones like Ragers.

- Mutie: Charge up a heavy and time it on any part of it, itll one shot.

- All Other Specials: If you are close enough, dodge the disable/damage then pickaxe light attack. If you are too far, shoot them with the Kickback.

- Solo Melee Elites (except Bulwarks): Bonk em with a charged pickaxe heavy

- Ranged Elites: Light pickaxe spam unless it a Reaper, then charge heavy attack. If they are far, shoot them with the Kickback or dash at them with Indomitable.

- Bulwarks: If your ally can get them to turn around, bonk them like a normal Melee Elite. If they aggro to you, Indomitable to stagger them, then quickly turn around and heavy charge hit them.

- Plague Ogryn: Heavy + light + heavy on the head with the pickaxe. Make sure you have good dodge work, but dont be afraid to keep hitting if he backs you to a wall. Indomitable to stagger if needed.

- Beast of Nurgle: Indomitable to get behind it, then Heavy + light + Heavy on the weakspot. If it slimes you before you can Indomitable through it, indomitable away and kite it. If it slimes you while next to it after doing so, slide away from it and kite it. Don't become nommed. If you see someone else get nommed and you have Indomitable, use it to free them.

- Chaos Spawn: Same strat as the Plague Ogryn, but dont let yourself get backed into a corner because of the grab. Indomitable to stun if he attempts to grab and you cant dodge. You can also Indomitable to free grabbed teamates.

- Traitor Captain: Light attack spam the shield, then do heavy charged attacks on his head until he recharges the shield.
