Got this one from another person and am saving it for linking to others. 

 

This build is about generating a lot of toughness while stacking a lot of toughness damage reduction and regen, then sharing toughness with allies. It doesn't kill fast but it cannot be killed short of disablers or pox walkers. Genuinely you can shrug off gunner fire for quite some time at range if you are near other players. The advantage is it makes the rest of the team nigh invulnerable when in coherency which solves a big problem many Tide players have: inability to stay alive. If they're alive and standing they can do damage so it all equalizes and keeping them alive with this is a lot easier than clutching solo to rescue them when they die. 

 

The plasma gun is for killing specials, crushers/bulwarks, ragers, bosses, maulers, gunners. Don't spam it at pox walkers and only shoot a random shooter mook if you have to. You want to be conserving ammo and reloading very infrequently. The sole exception is when a teammate is in trouble at a distance. Nail things near them with the gun to give them 15% toughness per kill + some damage while you run over. 

 

Primary weapon is the chain sword which you use to blend hordes and duel ragers. It can kill crushers and bulwarks with good melee play but it's often easier to just shoot them. Rev it and tag a mutie as it goes past for a kill. 

 

The key perk is born leader. All toughness you get you share 15% of to every teammate in coherency. You get absolutely insane bonus toughness from killing elites with your plasma gun: 5% (out for blood) + 10% (confirmed kill) + 25% (glory hunter) = 40% on top of the standard toughness gain for kills. And in addition you pick up another 20% over 10s from confirmed kill. Your teammates get 9% toughness from that. You also give them 1% every time you blend a pox walker and you blend a lot of pox walker with that chainsword once you get going. 

 

Positioning wise you want to be near the team but between them and anything shooting/stabbing because you have between 100% and 130% toughness damage resistance.
