Description

When you need enough raw damage to melt an army in seconds with bolts of warp power, the Imperial Diviner is the build to call upon. Benefiting from a patient mind and accurate hand, the potential for destruction with this build is limitless.

Weapons

Heavy Sword - All-round useful melee weapon that is equally capable of killing Hordes and Elites in a pinch. While it is not particularly effective against heavier enemies, your Staff easily has that covered. The Turtolsky Mk IX can clear Hordes quickly, while the Heavy/Block combo makes short work of Ragers and Mutants, so that will be our Mark of choice.

Perks

  • Flak & Maniac Damage - For improved breakpoints vs the likes of Ragers and Mutants.

Blessings

  • Thrust - One-shot Mutants without any other buffs.
  • Headtaker - Easy source of extra damage during most engagements.

Voidstrike Staff -The core of this build, and your primary Damage dealer. This weapon can easily destroy entire Hordes, Patrols, and groups of Elites and Specialists.

Perks

  • Crit Chance - You need as much of this as you can get.
  • Carapace Damage - Hit one-shot breakpoints on Crushers.

Blessings

  • Surge - Double attacks on a Crit mean you will be able to one-shot the likes of Crushers with a few stacks from your Talents.
  • Warp Nexus - An extra 20% Crit Chance during most engagements, as you will spend a surprising amount of time near 100% Peril.

Putting out some of the highest damage at range, the Imperial Diviner relies on hitting Weakspots and Crits to reach its fullest potential. Between your staff's Surge and Warp Nexus Blessings, your Scrier's Gaze ability, and the Talents Disrupt Destiny, True Aim, and Perfect Timing, you will be well rewarded for accurate shots against any enemy. A single Crit from your Secondary Attack can effortlessly clear an entire Horde and kill anything smaller than a Monstrosity.

Scrier's Gaze will be a massive source of Crits, Damage, and even Toughness Damage Reduction. Whether it's the active ability or the free attacks during Warp Unbound, you will want to have this Ability active more often than not. Psykinetic's Aura and Seer's Presence synergize with your Elite and Specialist killing abilities to keep Scrier's Gaze active, and Precognition allows you to quickly build up stacks of Damage. During the 10s lingering effect from Warp Unbound, you will also have an extra 20% Damage and Crit Chance from Warp Rider and Warp Nexus so long as you do not vent; counting your seconds during this time is vital to avoid Perils of the Warp.

Disrupt Destiny will be a secondary source of Damage, Quelling, and Toughness, as it will often target enemies in Hordes while you are clearing them. Otherwise, your highly accurate, high Damage shots can easily claim stacks from randomly marked enemies throughout the game.

As well as accuracy, this build greatly rewards patience; a fully-charged Crit Secondary from your Staff is one of the highest Damage ranged attacks in Darktide, but takes some time to charge up. Empathic Evasion and well-timed Dodges will allow you to continue using your Staff during a majority of engagements, and in the event you are hit, One with the Warp and Endurance can save you a bit of damage, while a Crit into a group of enemies will quickly recharge your Toughness thanks to Mettle.

Should you find yourself engaged in melee, Scrier's Gaze once again comes into play as a boost to your Damage, Crits, and Toughness Damage Reduction, while Kinetic Deflection and Empathic Evasion protect you from hits. Heavy Attacks with the Heavy Sword should make short work of a majority of enemies, and keep you alive long enough to return to ranged combat.

Keep Scrier's Gaze and Disrupt Destiny active, practice your headshots, and keep charging those shots. Limitless power awaits.
