After extensive testing and proofing the build in Maelstroms, I can confidently say that this support build is made for people with good basics who want to help teammates.

The whole gimmick for this build is making sure you have the maximum Toughness possible, and generating toughness for yourself and your allies by:

  • Using Born leader, and doing everything below to keep your teammate's toughness up.
    • Stay in coherency, this is extremely important. The aura increase makes this easier, but you should still work to stay close to your allies, this is your main method of toughness healing them.
  • Tagging Enemies using Focus Target
  • Using Voice of Command and essentially spamming it to keep everyone's toughness impenetrable.
  • Using Confirmed Kill to poach Elite and Special kills and gain a LOT of Toughness. With no additives, your 274 point Toughness pool restores 27.4 Toughness alone, then another 50+ off of a single kill. This is how you heal a ton.
  • Using Exhilarating Takedown to generate Toughness by hitting headshots with your revolver.
  • Take Hordes on with your Power sword, don't ever swing without it being charged (if it wasn't obvious). Base game Toughness regen for kills is extremely high if you're cleaving through many targets, as it is percentage-based.
  • When you Toughness heal allies, they gain the portion you healed, not a percentage of their own Toughness, so having as much Toughness as humanly possible is key.

Optional changes that keep the build:

  • Optionally, sacrificing something to instead gain covering fire can be useful, depends on your playstyle overall.
  • The Revolver can easily be swapped for the Bolt Pistol, or an Infantry Lasgun. This fully depends on what you're good with. The revolver just easily reaches breakpoints with almost no additive Damage, and has a very high weapon swap speed.
