This mod is kind of a requirement: https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/88
The mod is Keep Swinging. It lets you bind a key to "toggle" light spam. Imagine it like pressing X in an FPS game to switch from single-fire to full auto.
The Chord (Chain sword) 13, like its brother the IV, has a unique property in that all finesse (aka crit damage) is carried over to each target hit in a swing. This means you do full crit damage to every target hit, making it an extremely good melee tank/cc weapon. Wrath is better than Savage Sweep as the light attacks can't cleave more than 2 targets usually, so you'll never get Savage Sweep to proc. Wrath is on hit, so as long as you're swinging your stick like a monkey into a crowd of enemies you'll be at full cleave and full crit (with Piety and Shred) which makes you a horde mulcher. For Scab Ragers aim for the head and dodge around. You'll get the feel of breaking their tracking, the Chord 13g has an excellent dodge cap of 5 efficient dodges. With some practice you'll be able to dodge around groups of Ragers. For Crushers I suggest backing up and having your team help you with them as your rev'd heavies won't stagger them on headshot unless you take Grievous Wounds. For Maulers aim at their shoulders or feet.
Rev'd heavies shred both bosses and Captain shields.
Pop Chorus as soon as you can, or as soon as you see enemies. Your Golden Toughness is useful for the whole team at any given moment and you'll constantly be swarmed with enemies. Beacon of Purity is non-negotiable or you'll wipe (due to the constant corruption).
Your role is to fill the toughness of your teammates, act as a safety net with Beacon of Purity to clear Corruption, and manage clumps of enemies as a horde crowd controller. If you see enemies you can't face on your own, or your Chorus is on cooldown, retreat until you get Chorus. If there are Gunners in the distance shooting at your team across a linear danger area, it's your job to put yourself on the X by popping Chorus and waddling up to them to show those Gunners/Reapers your holy Funko Pop. Killing these Gunners should be your priority behind keeping your teammate's topped off on Golden Toughness.
Use the Flamer to clear mixed packs of Maulers, Ragers, and especially Bulwarks. Flames will penetrate Bulwark shields - remember that you don't need to constantly hold down left click when letting loose your flames! About half a tank of gas will get the enemies to full stacks of Burn and will generally kill them. If you have plenty of ammo and a big horde then have at it! Damage is the dump stat on the Flamer as it only affects the First Target hit by your flames. The damage of the Flamer is dealt from stacks of Burn which deal tremendous Damage over Time. The higher the stacks the more damage an enemy takes. They receive one stack each time a particle hits them - so each time you get a hitmarker. You need to have at least above 76% Burn in order to apply full stacks.
