I know this tree looks wacky, but it's carried me through Damnation comfortably.
Combat Approach
To quickly go over the general idea of the build...
- You want to engage enemies in melee if possible, when doing so activate your Scrier's Gaze.
- Achieve the highest possible Scrie's Gaze stack as possible and activate your Blaze Greatsword's ability and sling warp energy toward a group of enemies.
- This warp wave should be very potent as you are combining the power of Malefic Momentum (+20% damage) with approximately another 15% - 30% damage from Scrier's Gaze. You are also likely to Crit when this occurs.
- After launching this wave proceed to whip out Smite and locate the most dangerous looking mixed horde in vicinity and provide some crowd control. You can maintain this for approximately 8 seconds due to Scrier's Haze's ability to cast at 100% peril.
- The short time of casting Smite should be non disruptive for those who seem to dislike seeing it utilised excessively in a match.
- If you are ever in a situation where your team is being harassed by snipers, trappers or other specials whip out the Recon Lasgun and use its high rate of fire to proc fire and steady damage.
- The Recon Lasgun is also a tool in your arsenal to retreat to a more defensive position if you need to back off and play a bit more conservatively due to low health or just a second to catch your breath.
- You gain 5% toughness for proccing Crit (which you will do endlessly) and gain toughness from Soul Drinker for causing any enemy to die that had Soul Blaze on them.
- Disrupt Destiny is sanctioned wall hacks from the beneficent Emperor. It's an easy way to rack up consistent passive damage and Crit bonus damage if you decide to gain stacks of it. It's very generous as losing one Disrupt Destiny only causes a single instance of it to be lost and not the entire thing, so it will almost always be there providing you with extra damage.
