I've ran this build in Havoc with great success.I hate using OP weapons and so i've been testing different builds that utilizes the Relic Blade and i came up with this. BoF is a must since we took the right side of tree for defensive and crit talents, shroudfield+piety combo for invocation of death and stalwart to keep our emergency ability always available and to keep us tanky in tight situations. The main role of this build is to guarantee squad survival, preventing team wipes. And how do we make that happen? we play defensively. I know zealot is a class that allows you to overextend or be a lone wolf, but trust me if you want to ensure everyone reaches extraction, you have to stick together, this matters even more the higher the difficulty level of the mission. You are a shepherd, you have to tend to your teammates, always watching their backs and assisting as needed, removing any kind of pressure that may lead to a casualty. Bistol is the best gun i’ve found that synergizes with this playstyle. It compliments relic blade wherein it gives you mobility, quick-swap, fast reload, sniping capabilities and it hits hard. You use it to snipe far targets as your team tries to progress/advance, switching to relic blade to get rid of close targets/elites/hordes that gets close to your squad. The Relic blade does really well on bosses from my experience, making this build very versatile since you can cover all ranges between your gun and melee weapon, and all types of enemies. Most of the time you want to be on Bistol for mobility as it's slightly slower compared to knife (without the tech of course). Shroudfield is only used defensively as an "oh crap button", for solving puzzles to open doors, and for helping downed teammates. You should be the first one to get downed mates out of trouble if you are properly keeping eye on them at all times. You play proactively to keep everyone from getting overwhelmed and reactively once the rejects empties their toughness. To prevent downs, you have to maintain a good breathing room (keep the pressure off your teammates) the whole run, stay defensive, keep the heretics at bay, that's your job. Keep everyone alive, and out of harms way and you will achieve victory.
