Choices

  • I prefer no headhunter. I find more value in dum dum as we already have tons of crit chance, and dots do cap.
  • Krak vs Shredder Granades - This is really about efficiency to get to bottom of the talent tree. If you are playing high havoc, you should drop Rending Strikes and For the Emporer to go shredder grenades and Demo Team. Shredders go too hard in 30+ to ignore.
  • No Keystone - You just dont need one.

Gear and Abilities:

  • Primary Weapon: Recon Lasgun (with Infernus and Dum Dum)
    • Infernus: Adds burn damage over time to your shots, ideal for inflicting persistent damage.
    • Dum Dum: Increases damage against armored targets, making it easier to break through tougher enemies.
  • Melee Weapon: Knife (with Lacerate and Flesh Tearer)
    • Lacerate: Inflicts bleed damage on hit, causing enemies to take damage over time.
    • Flesh Tearer: Increases bleed damage and duration, enhancing your damage over time capabilities. And you will be critting alot.
  • Skill: Shock Trooper
    • Shock Trooper: Significantly increases your ammo reserves, ensuring you have plenty of ammunition to sustain your damage over time strategy by spreading the DOTs!
  • Positioning and Mobility:
    • Stay mobile to avoid getting overwhelmed. Use cover and movement to kite enemies and avoid direct hits.
    • Position yourself where you can effectively use both your Lasgun and knife, alternating based on the situation.

Playstyle:

  1. Engage from a Distance:
    • Use your Recon Lasgun to initiate combat. The Infernus perk will apply burn damage to your targets, which is particularly useful for softening up enemies before they get close.
    • Focus on high-priority targets such as snipers or elites to maximize your burn damage over time.
    • Ammo Management: Thanks to the Shock Trooper skill, you will have ample ammunition. Don't be afraid to use your Lasgun liberally to maintain consistent pressure on enemies.
  2. Close-Quarters Combat:
    • Switch to your knife when enemies close in. Utilize its speed and Lacerate to apply bleed effects.
    • Stack bleed effects on multiple enemies to spread damage over time efficiently. Use quick, successive attacks to maximize the bleeding.
  3. Positioning and Mobility:
    • Stay mobile to avoid getting overwhelmed. Use cover and movement to kite enemies and avoid direct hits.
    • Position yourself where you can effectively use both your Lasgun and knife, alternating based on the situation.
  4. Team Synergy:
    • Communicate with your team to focus fire on burning and bleeding enemies, ensuring they go down quickly.
    • Provide covering fire with your Lasgun to protect your teammates, especially when they are engaging in melee.

Tips:

  • Ammo Abundance: With the Shock Trooper skill, you will have plenty of ammunition. Make sure to take advantage of this by consistently applying burn effects with your Lasgun.
  • Use Abilities: Take advantage of Veteran abilities that enhance your damage or provide utility, such as grenades or tactical reloads.
  • Adapt: While focusing on damage over time, be flexible in your approach. Use your primary weapon for ranged threats and switch to melee for crowd control and bleed application.

Playing a Veteran with a focus on damage over time through bleed and burn effects, and ample ammunition, allows you to maintain a relentless assault on the battlefield. With practice, you'll be a formidable force, keeping enemies burning and bleeding non-stop!

If you need more tips or have other questions, feel free to ask. Let's keep those enemies burning and bleeding!🔥🔪
