Description
Invincible Flames
Aggressive high-Peril Psyker focused on extreme ranged damage, elite killing and relentless battlefield control.
Invincible Flames is built around the Rifthaven Mk II Inferno Force Staff, with the entire setup designed to take advantage of high Peril rather than constantly trying to keep it low. The higher your Peril, the more value you get from Warp Nexus and Unstable Power, while Blaze Away rewards continuous Inferno fire with additional Strength.
The result is a Psyker that can maintain enormous pressure on the battlefield, deleting dense hordes while simultaneously dealing substantial damage to elites and specialists. The Inferno Staff is the main engine of the build, while the Covenant Mk VI Blaze Force Greatsword provides a powerful melee option for anything that survives the flames or manages to reach you.
Role
Primary: Horde Clear / Elite Damage
Secondary: Anti-Special / Ranged Suppression / Frontline Pressure
This is not a passive support Psyker. The goal is to actively control the pace of the fight through overwhelming damage.
You should constantly be looking for opportunities to keep the Inferno Staff firing, maintain high Peril and position yourself where your flames can hit the largest possible number of targets. The staff's large flame area and suppression radius make it particularly effective when enemies are densely packed.
Havoc 40 Performance
The build is designed with high-level content in mind and is capable of performing extremely well in Havoc 40, provided it is played correctly.
Its biggest strength in high difficulty is its ability to convert enemy density into damage. The more enemies the team is fighting, the more value the Inferno Staff gets from its area damage, burning stacks and suppression.
The build can contribute heavily against:
- Large hordes
- Maulers and Ragers
- Armoured elites
- Specials
- Dense mixed enemy packs
- Ranged threats when positioning allows the Inferno to reach them
It is particularly effective when the team is fighting in a controlled area and enemies are forced through predictable approaches.
How to Play
Stay at high Peril.
This build is intentionally designed around playing close to the danger zone. Do not constantly vent just because your Peril is high. Your Peril is part of your damage engine.
Keep the Inferno Staff active.
Continuous fire builds Blaze Away, reaching up to five stacks and significantly increasing Strength. At the same time, Warp Nexus provides up to 20% Critical Chance depending on your current Peril.
Use the Greatsword when:
- Enemies reach melee range
- You need to deal with elites efficiently
- The horde is too close for comfortable staff positioning
- You need to conserve Peril
- You need to fight while moving through tight spaces
Riposte rewards aggressive movement and successful dodges with +20% Critical Chance for 6 seconds, making the Greatsword particularly effective when constantly moving and attacking.
Strengths
Exceptional Horde Clear
Extremely high sustained damage
Excellent elite pressure
Strong performance in dense Havoc encounters
Excellent synergy between high Peril and weapon blessings
Great melee fallback with Blaze Force Greatsword
Rewards aggressive and highly active gameplay
Weaknesses
This is not a beginner-friendly Psyker build.
Playing permanently around high Peril requires good Peril management, positioning and awareness. Overcommitting to Inferno fire can leave you vulnerable to disablers, ranged focus fire or sudden melee pressure.
The build also requires the player to understand when to stop channeling and transition to the Greatsword rather than greedily maintaining staff fire.
In other words:
The build is extremely powerful when played aggressively, but it does not forgive careless positioning.
Why "Invincible Flames"?
Because the objective is simple:
Keep the Peril high. Keep the flames burning. Keep moving forward.
You are not trying to survive by avoiding the fight.
You survive by destroying the fight before it reaches you.
Recommended for experienced Psyker players who enjoy an aggressive, high-risk/high-reward playstyle and want to push the class's offensive potential as far as possible.
