Description
Build Notes:
- Boltgun can be taken with different damage oriented blessings, but puncture and shatter synergize very well together as the armor reduction affects bleeds damage. It is mainly used to snipe specialists or kill packs of Crushers or Maulers.
- Backstab node is taken instead of TWBS because it's a fairly fast hitting and horde-safe weapon. Since it has such high stagger, you'll get extra value from the backstab node.
Playstyle Notes:
- This melee has very good horde clear, although it suffers a little at ttk on Crushers.
- Gunner resistance curio are good, you are not Neo, you are not going to dodge hitscan bullets all of the time. All the other damage resistances can be dodged or outplayed much more easily.
- Stamina regeneration is better than sprint efficiency. You will get more 'actual' value out of it. You are not sprinting everywhere in a fight, and when you are, you usually aren't in a ton of danger.
- The Boltgun is almost exclusively for ogryns. Packs of crushers, bulwarks, and reapers that are too big for your melee to handle quickly are rendered a non-issue. Since you take throwing knives, you shouldn't have many ammo issues.
- The throwing knives replace any need for a revolver or similar ranged weapon. They one-shot all specialists and ranged elites like shotgunners and gunners.
Weapon Notes:
- Push Attack -> Heavy Attack for horde clear, hence the stamina curio.
- Heavy Attack -> Block (resets animation) for single target damage.
- Alternatively, you can do Heavy Attack -> Light Attack.
