Because every Psyker has to have one smite build, that one build you made when you were first starting to play Psyker. That build that just sat there smiting because you thought it was the coolest fantasy in the world, and tbh it kinda is, even if everyone complains about it. But you eventually grow beyond those shackles, you learn better builds, and you learn how to manage your spindly frame much better. But you always want to have the chance to look back, and this is that build for me. Had to obviously change given the whole Psyker Talent tree changed, but it still does it's job rather well. Smite the wave, shriek at it to do actual damage, watch everything eventually die as your entire build keeps it up indefinitely. Have a Transfer Peril Voidstrike staff for tougher targets just to be able to hit them a good amount (since one won't be critting all that much), and otherwise got the Greatsword on it now so that if your team is whiny you can 'play the game like everyone else'. L L L H for your attack string against the wave, just heavy anything else. And use it for Deflector if you're ever getting riddled with holes. But yeah, pretty standard, one could swap Psychic Leech for Enfeeble, but I think with Empyric Resolve it's better to have the bumps in toughness to you and your team. It is a support build after all, might as well properly support. But beyond that, just smite. Smite as much as you want. Though, maybe when there's like, only a couple enemies left you can stop smiting and just hit them...the Greatsword has a long enough reach I promise.
