Heavily Inspired by this build (I want a bookmark for it, he was cooking lol)https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9dd3bb6f-d2a4-438e-a99d-a1a3b9302c62/gun-psyker-clear-backblast-2
Talent Tree
Minor change I made to the original talent tree was dropping Kinetic Deflection (Stamina + Block Efficiency Curious help mitigate this) and the node to reach it to get Lightning Storm to minimize exposure to enemy attacks when smiting and Warp Expenditure to give myself more toughness for my aggressive playstyle. Everything else in the talent tree I've kept the same as the above build, as focusing on talent nodes that expedite the cooldown of Venting Shriek are essential (Psykinetic's Aura, Seer's Presence, and the capstone nodes associated with Warp Siphon all fall under this category).EquipmentDo note that I'm using a Deimos Mk IV Blaze Force Sword with low Warp Resistance. I got super lucky rolling one with a value of [0/60]% while the other stats were decent, making it so whenever I use the special attack I instantly generate 41% peril. Having this allows us to lower the amount of time it takes to Venting Shriek on command and give us a way to actively generate toughness between Smite sessions. I also replaced Deflector with Slaughterer, in the hopes to up the Damage over Time (DoT) caused by Soul Blaze when not using the Ius Mk IV Shredder Autopistol.Gameplay LoopThe main goal with this build is about maximizing our usage of Venting Shriek + Creeping Flames to control / wipe out hordes. As mentioned in the referenced build guide, the blessings Blaze Away and Pinning Fire on our Auto-pistol increase the damage of any applied Soul Blaze. So whenever you shriek into a crowd, pull out the Auto-pistol and dump the entire magazine on elites / specials in the crowd and all the fodder around them will fall as well.
Outside of hosing down the rowdy citizens of Atoma, you'll want to aim your sword at heads since Uncanny Strike affects the damage of Soul Blaze in much the same way our Auto-Pistol does. If you're squaring off against heavily armored targets, a quick way to build up Uncanny Strike stacks is to use your special attack on a head as it is made up of 4 separate attacks that result in 4 stacks of Uncanny Strike.
