Description
This build comes from a mashup of builds I found from the content creators Fimbly Jim and Claysthetics. I've made some minor tweaks. It may not be amazing at end game, since from what I understand pure assail falls off and instead gets treated as just an extra damage source rather than your main damage, but while leveling and while at mid level difficulties, it's a lot of fun.
The order of priority on perks and blessings is the order in which they appear in the guide.
For the early talents, I usually get Mettle, Perfect Timing, and Battle Meditation first and then just push down the tree as fast as I can. Feel free to pick whichever early talents that you prefer.
For the most part, the gameplay is to use Assail on most enemies and then if you run out, switch to your staff and hold alt fire to charge up and then press primary fire to shoot lighting at guys. It's pretty good for CC and decent at damage. For the dueling sword, I just switch to that when I'm getting overrun with trash enemies and don't have enough assail charges to take them out quickly.
The build previously used Venting Shriek, but I prefer Telekine Shield since there are tons of situations where the shield is very useful. For this build Venting Shriek is more of an undo button if you go over 100%. Use either one that you prefer.
For the aura, feel free to swap it from the crit aura to the cooldown aura if you are playing with a team that needs your shield uptime to be higher.
If you want to use the build at higher difficulties, swap out the ordo dockets on your curios with either combat ability regen or damage resist against gunners.
