This used to be a good number of things, but after realizing I could turn my Power Maul build into something useful with one talent point change and make IT the 'spam taunt' build, I thought 'what the heck, I'll make this a spam Indomitable build then!'. Took a bit of doing, but I think I got it to mostly work! I focused entirely on damage, to maximize both the Kickback and Pickaxe's output, without relying on bleed (because I got enough builds doing so, and it cost to much talent points anyway). Essentially, run through knocking over everything and gaining large amount of toughness/damage, swap to kickback as Back Off! stacks up to proc Maximum Firepower and suppress the wave while more often than not getting extra melee damage, then rinse repeat. On your way through kill as many elites as possible, and you'll have the fastest Indomitable charge you can possibly have. Then after it comes back, charge forward again, hit a bunch, shoot once the attack speed wares off to make use of the last bit of trample for the kickback/likely get a free bullet cause of Back Off!, and just keep cycling that combo, while dumping shots into specials when needed to kill them. When it comes to the Pickaxe II, I learned if you do a push attack and then DON'T do a heavy attack right after, but instead a light. You'll, instead of doing the hilt poke that does nothing into a slow af strikedown, do a moderately fast horizontal cleave attack instead. One can then combo this into a heavy, or just spam lights forever afterward to keep ad clearing the wave, with pushes to reset whenever you need a proper cleave. It works quite well, and with Strike True, you're able to do 'scoop, heavy hit, scoop, heavy hit' to kill a Crusher/Mauler decently quickly, even with no other melee bonuses. And if you got Expansive proced, that can be reduced to a heavy into a light, which feels even better. I then take both Keep Shooting and Pacemaker as it makes it so you can get bare minimum 3 shots off really fast, which will kill anything even far off snipers, while doing decent damage to bosses too. Then you can just keep shooting if you need more than that, or reload then put it away to go back to hitting things. Bomb Box is mainly for ad clear and cause it's the only blitz that doesn't need an extra point. And I get Frenzied Blows so that the light attack string on the pickaxe still feels pretty good. One can scoop the wave to do a sudo push that procs one stack of Wrath and Frenzied Blows, and will micro stagger most things including Crushers, so it's a nice way to 'stack up' when needed before swinging away with max cleave, decent damage, and pretty good attack speed. Steady Grip is used in the 'poxburster/sniper' cases since Indomitable doesn't give the most amount of toughness regen/none if you're getting gunned down. And I don't take Bulletstorm because I can't spare the point, and more often than not you're not 'spamming shots' anyway, just firing off your free one to CC the wave/get melee damage and then go back to swinging. I take Bonebreaker Aura cause more often than not I feel fine toughenss wise and it helps hitting breakpoints for the pickaxe (since you don't have heavy hitter/bleed/headtaker), but if one doesn't feel that way one can take Stay Close! . Also Confident Strike makes up for not taking The Best Defence.
