In the old Warhammer Vermintide I loved play with the Unchained and try make something similar on this game,never got luck but now I think I made a decent tank wizard.
So, a little explanation.
It's easy to play, on melee just light atack spam on a horde with Scrier's Gaze and all the scum die, for more strong enemies just spam heavy atacks, Charged Strike help a lot even if you hit the shield of a Bulwark still get the dot damage.
On ranged you have the staff, I try before the Voidstaff but have problems vs armored, now it's better. You can use Scrier's Gaze and thanks to Warp Unbound you can spam unlimited lightnings for 10 seconds, amazing.
This trick of 10 seconds of unlimited heat(Warp Unbound) it's also very good with Smite, just go to 0 heat, use Smite and before reach 100% use Scrier's Gaze, the heat drop to 50% then after reach 100% heat still have 10 more seconds of stun, also amazing.
Also you can use Scrier's Gaze to avoid explode if you mess up with the heat, like Venting Shriek.
You can change Reality Anchor for Precognition if you want sacrifice a little CC and tank for more damage.
Why not Bubble instead of Gaze? Because make you less tank, Gaze with Endurance and the spam you can make with Warp Unbound give more tankinnes than bubble, also you have you're personal bubble with Deflector + Kinetic Deflection xD
