Can use other melees but I like that you can do fire + bleed dots on bosses with knife + recon

 

Don't have to worry about overwarp. You don't warp.

 

Only Gaze and Block builds warp. Can't overwarp on these 2.

 

Smite is almost never used, weapons kill faster. Maybe when out of ammo or Gaze on cooldown and not fighting or when bored.
We simply point smite to reach Charged Strike which ACTUALLY deals decent damage. Unfortunately it doesn't count as a warp-attack and it happens to get the kill often when 1 heavy doesn't crit, so I had to change the build flavor from soulfire (with Wildfire and Souldrinker) to this current (more fun) version.

 

Press Gaze when you about to enter longer fight. Gaze gives big damage.
Gaze builds warp, first slow then fast. The more you crit and kill the more you quell the warp.

 

The more you quell and build warp and quell again through crits and kills, the more you regen toughness.

Applies to both range and melee, melee headshot kills quells peril very well, ranged crits with Recon quells even better. Should use both tho (melee headshot kill> ranged spam > melee again instead of reload) during Gaze.

 

Even though it's common for "gunner psykers", don't sit in ranged all the time, pretend you're a zealot.

 

Always keep in mind how the build regens toughness, it's the secret to immortality.
You are the tankiest and dangerousest while Gazing.

 

Hunt blue targets. But don't spend too much ammo on weak ones. Try getting weakspot kills, gives 3 stacks.
Blue targets give you toughness, speed, and finesse.
