For starters with Break the Line and Forceful you want to be inside melee combat as much as you can like Ogryn the longer your not in melee the more ranged chips away at you health. Your Judgement Mk IV Subductor Shotpistol and Riot Shield can help you regen toughness thanks to Shield Plates while a slow regen it does have it's uses for when there's nothing around to melee.
Dog is up to you run either Go Get 'Em! or Unleashed Brutality both work well I lean towards Unleashed Brutality since for ranged you can always send your dog after them with the ping system. I normally use the dog on bombers or snipers while I'm stuck in on a horde helps you not worry about them while your fighting.
There isn't much to cover for why I run what I run on the Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher it's the go to build. Now for Judgement Mk IV Subductor Shotpistol and Riot Shield the reason for Full Bore is due to the super tight spread making it really easy to proc. Now No Respite might seem like a odd choice on page but here's where Concussive comes in to play. Now you normally want to use this on bosses the setup isn't too bad you want to melee the boss's weak point to proc Concussive this then lets No Respite proc now it only last 4 secs but that enough time to get 2-3 shots off on the boss's weak point dealing some decent damage.
Now if you want some extra boss damage from your Judgement Mk IV Subductor Shotpistol and Riot Shield you could change Drive them Back to Final Warning for that extra 15% damage for your No Respite setup. I prefer Drive them Back but the choice is up to what you feel is better for your playstyle or if your team needs the extra boss damage.
Reason for True Grit is a safety net from Crusher and Scab Mauler one shots. Over the Havoc 40s I've done it seems like the main thing killing me is overheads that I just don't see coming leading to a insta death without gold toughness. Unlike the other melee classes we dont have the wounds to survive a overhead and we dont have Until Death preventing us dying from such cases.
A neat trick I've picked up is using the Judgement Mk IV Subductor Shotpistol and Riot Shield to help get a revive off on a person getting targeted by gunner fire. While someone gets them up you stand in front kinda like a Orox Mk II & Mk III Battle Maul & Slab Shield Ogryn and block some of the incoming fire so they don't insta die once their back up. Not always going to be super helpful but does have it's use cases.
As always curios are up to you feel free to change them as you see fit there's no true right or wrong. I do recommend atleast 1 stm since the Indignatus Mk IVe Crusher is a block attack heavy weapon.
Don't forget we have the meats
