You must use a ripper gun with an Ammo stat of 66% or below!!!! This is crucial!!! (darktide basically rounds the numbers weird so with an ammo stat of 66% or below you do a lot more damage with your blessings)
Pickaxe single target combo: light, light, light, light, light, repeat
Pickaxe horde clear combo: push attack, heavy, light, heavy, light, repeat
Light attack spam with the Branx Pickaxe is actually really strong and is good for picking off Elites one-by-one
This ripper gun variant has VERY high DPS but very high recoil as well. If you're not comfortable using it, you can switch out to the Mark II which has slower fire rate and less range but higher damage with less recoil.
You can use this ripper gun in a pinch if you need toughness. Just shoot 2 full bursts and you have about 80% of your toughness back.
