I only really use Boltgun for Monsters, and use dog and melee to kill specials, nades are for emergencies.

 

The gist of the build is headshotting enemies to get all the stagger bonuses in melee and trying to burst monsters when they appear. Build can be pretty ammo hungry but if you only shoot monsters and have a good weakspot rate then its plenty. it is important that you go for weakspots with bolter though because the dmg and ammo efficiency is much better

You can swap Arbites Grenade for Remote Detonation, mostly personal preference.

You could play this build without boltgun and just drop Judicious Efficiency and Ammo Belt and put 2 points wherever you want. Rebreather is good if your playing gas modifier, True Grit is fine if you like to get over-headed, Melee Damage Boost at the top, Hammer of Judgement, or you can just go 2 points into Targeted Brutality  to make your ability a bit more useful.

I run stam regen on curios but its its not really necessary, Arbites has pretty good regen base so thats ok to swap out.
