Will come back and edit later, but this is the main crux of the Catachan Jungle Fighter Demonhunter build. This is what works best for me, I encourage you to switch things around, but i find the middle tree with focus target is the only way to 1v1 a demonhost with ONLY the Devil's Claw on veteran, and do it FAST.
If you really want grenade regen (i think the bolter with agile engagement+one motion clears crusher waves and regular ol karkin bosses just fine), then take points out of serrated blade and exploit weakness on the right, then go into demolition stockpile. The melee points here are just to make sure you can handle anything in melee, and along with precision strikes, they fall like wheat before your scythe. They're also there to well, 1v1 a demonhost in melee combat.
Going through fire team and picking up grenade tinkerer is nice, but it's only useful if ye have grenades, and you won't have points for agile engagement. I personally prefer builds that allow me to survive most situations if i don't have resources. While you can melee a demonhost down, but since devils claw doesn't do well against armor, having the bolter and krak grenades REALLY help. The main crux is definitely the stealth though. Use it wisely and position mindfully. Low profile will allow you to keep your demonhost 1v1 a one on one, and clutch as stealth vet when the needs arise. When you don't use low profile, you soak a lot of damage over the course of a game. Stay aware and healthy so you can tear those filthy demons to pieces.
NOTE: If you do plan on purely going for the gigachad move and going for pure melee in a demon 1v1, i REALLY recommend serrated blade. It doesn't look like much but it REALLY adds up, whether it be hitting breakpoints on chaff with lights, or yes, building bleed on monstrosities and everything in-between. Go for light attacks to build up the Shred blessing on your Devils Claw "knife", it gets the job done.
Ping with focus target, stealth (+stim if you have it), 1-2 grenades if you have em, unload bolter clip, finish off with parries. This will tear them to pieces.
