Arbites Iron Wall (This is a Havoc 40 build. Can work on any Havoc)

Overview:

The Arbites Iron Wall is about survivability, defense, support and boss burst dmg. You are a frontline horde clearer, with a lot of utility and defense from your shield + flash, coupled with Break the Line ability and Remote Detonation. You can flash groups, Specials and Elites with your shield special to stun enemies for defense, revive, reposition or to simply slow them down so your team can clean up. Remote Detonation serves this same purpose.  The Vraks MK V is all about ranged enemies and boss dmg; especially as it applies to weakspots.

Weapon: Infrantry Autogun (Vraks MK V)

This primary has great mobility, fire rate and ammo management. You take this out for boss fights and to deal with range enemies not in melee range. For this we take 5% Crit Chance and 25% Unyielding Dmg as our perks. For blessings, Dumdum and Fire Frenzy make the most sense for me, since it's not uncommon for to be in close range for gun kills, let alone bosses.

Melee: Shock Maul & Suppression Shield (Branx Mk VI)

You'll be in melee more often than range, so this is our bread and butter for the build. The build is focused on block efficiency, revive speed and stamina via our Curios, which I'll explain later. For versatility we take 25% Flak Dmg and 20% Block Efficiency as our perks. For blessings, we take the High Voltage (25% Dmg vs Electrocuted Enemies) since our dog attacks cause shock via Voltaic Mandibles Augment, plus Remote Detonation also synergizes with this blessing. Our final blessing is Last Guard (Block Breaks Push Enemies, 9 sec CD, - 30% Block Cost). This is just last defense perk to give you extra survivability in thick groups; this is especially helpful as a frontliner. Lastly, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to remember to use your special flash. It's part of your cc, self defense, as well as team support defense; i.e. blinding specials, shooters and elites for everyone. It has a 9 meter range, which is very generous - use it.

Blitz: Remote Detonation

I've mentioned this a couple of times above, but to add more context, this is your boss stagger tool, your horde stagger tool, your revive tool, your crowd control tool and you'll never have to worry about grenade pick up since you get a new charge (3 total) every 60 secs. With your shield, you can detonate one horde and flash another for some of the best cc in the game. DON'T forget your flash.

Ability: Break the Line

We want to be dashing into the fight as often as we can. We also want CDR to use this even more often than we already can. It has one of the fastest CDs in the game, but we push this further via Targeted Brutality (Restore 0.5 Ability CD for each hit, increased to 1 for every Elite, Special or Monstrosity) and curios. Engage (BTL increased to 7.5m)  and Kill Order (50% dmg to dog for 12s after using BTL)  are optional. I don't see much utility is giving up a whole point for more distance and the dog is already very strong via Unleashed Brutality (Dog Prioritizes Elites and Specials, deals 25% dmg to them).

Keystone: Forceful

This Keystone synergizes perfectly with our Shield since the stacks are granted from Stagger Hits and Blocks. Using our aforementioned ability causes stagger for every hit, which also feeds into Forceful. We also get bonus staggers from Concussive, which gives a 4s stagger to any enemy hit in their weakspot. To further cement our sustainability and defense, we also take Adamant Will which grants us stun immunity and perfect blocks can block any attack at max stacks and for 3 secs afterwards. We also take Targets Acquired, which gives us 50% cleave and 10% attack speed at max stacks and for 3 secs afterwards. The latter Keystone Modifier will also synergize with our passive Drive Them Back, which grants 75% Cleave upon pushing, for 5 secs. The last point is optional, but for me, I like taking Arbites Vigilant, which grants 2.5% Strength (Dmg, Stagger and Cleave) because this is what our build is all about.

Curios:

Since our build is about sustain, defense, revive and toughness, we take two 17% Toughness Blessings and the third has +3 Stamina to give our shield more block chances. All three Curios have the 4% Ability CDR, since we want to use our ability often.  We then take two 12% Revive Speeds and two 12% Block Efficiencies. The last two perk slots are whatever you want, but for me, I take 5% Toughness to give me a little extra, but I've seen others take more block and revive or gunner defense; it's up to you, but outside of those two slots, we do want to focus on block efficiency, revive speed and ability CDR.

This is a build I saw a teammate using, but his had even more block efficiency. This was my take, based on how I wanted to play. He also had a different Ability, so my version is quite different in more than a few ways. You can clutch with this build, as you can imagine, you can take on bosses one on one, but rarely will you be doing that in Havoc 40. This example shows Rebreather (30% Corruption Dmg and 75% Reduced Dmg from Toxic Gas), but feel free to swap it out on Havoc runs that are don't have any corruption or gas. I recommend Arbites Revelatum (15% Dmg for 5s after successful dodge) or The Emperor's Fist (15% Melee Dmg and 30% Impact on the first enemy hit with an each attack). Try it out and have fun!
